This kid looks allright. His tape looked better than Nash Nance coming out of high school but I like Cameron and a number '13 QB's considerably more. The '13 Kempt kid looked pretty very good.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Nathan Peterman pulled the trigger for the Vols in the next few days.

Also, this was a response to a poster providing a rumor that the mother of a Florida high school player from the Jacksonville area said that the quarterback on her son's team will be committing to Tennessee soon.

Sounds like we got our QB. The rivals mods are usually right on.

If true, he sounds like a solid young man that really wants to be here. It seems
from some of his comments that he appreciates the opportunity Tennessee affords him.

I hope he comes in with a fiery desire to beat his homestate team.

Would kind of like to wait and see what Gunner does but I'm guessing if the coaches accept Peterman's commitment, they already know Gunner isn't coming to UT.

Agreed, Kiel is worth waiting for no
matter what. Cameron probably is too, but he seems to be slow playing us to some extent.

I think the Peterman offer is a win/win for us. Either it causes Cameron to make his decision and commit, or we get another talented, under-the-radar QB that seems to have the skills to be right in Chaney's wheelhouse.

I dunno about that. Kiel is afraid of competition and I don't like that in a QB. It seems like a lack of confidence issue. I just have a weird feeling about it (no homo of course)

Weird feelings are ok.....as long as they're not in your pants.

I think Kiel may have bought into his own hype a little too much. Seems like a quality QB, but wants the spotlight. Personally I think that has more to do with it than shying away from competition. There are a couple of players like that every year. If the easy spotlight is what he wants, IU is where he needs to be. He'll be an instant hero. Hopefully that is not the case and he ends up in Knoxville.

I'm really starting to like Peterman. Not nearly an expert, but he seems to be a very smart QB that doesn't get shaken up easily. He can get rid of the rock and place it all over the field.

Just from his film he looks equal to and better than Cameron to some extent.
I really like him. Like I said, his offer seems
like a win/ win for us. If he commits quickly you know we got a kid that really wants to
be here and appreciates the opportunity. You can't quantify what that means in effort and chemistry.

Peterman reminds me of *gulp*, forgive me in advance, Rex Grossman both as a recruit and his days at Florida. Seems to have the moxie to stare down the gun barrel and deliver the ball to his targets and has a exceptionally quick release. He throws well on the run but would like to see better weight transfer on some of his throws when he has time in the pocket. (Easily correctable) I feel that this will not only add more velocity but increase his accuracy.

With that being said, I'd love to have Mr. Peterman become a VFL.

"Everything impressed me. The stadium, the facilities. I really enjoyed both coach Hinshaw and coach Chaney, the offensive coordinator. I got to visit with him a little bit and he's a great guy and he's got a great offensive mind. He coached in the NFL and he's been all over the place. So, I was really impressed with all of them," Peterman said. "I got to tour the whole campus and the stadium and all the new facilities and I got to see the new facilities they're putting in on the virtual tour and I was just really impressed with all that."

#45 QB on ESPN:

Peterman is a prospect that is much more impressive on tape than he is in a workout setting. He is a gunslinger with a quick release and some real moxie to his methods. Has good size, more than enough arm power and still looks to be filling out with his frame. He can be fundamentally inconsistent, but you like his swagger and style. He is fairly well groomed and we really like his footwork on drops and how he handles himself in the pocket. He always keeps eyes downfield, is balanced, works through his reads and has the quick release to make most any throw. He understands timing and when in rhythm can be a dangerously hot passer. Shows good touch on short-to-intermediate routes. Shows adequate zip on deep out route and enough arm strength to stretch the field vertically when his feet are set. Is a good enough athlete to move around, buy some extra time and re-set to throw, but is not a scrambler. Peterman can be erratic at times with his accuracy. Will take some risks with the ball; it is just his nature. Accuracy wavers depending on footwork. The best thing he does is get rid of the ball quickly. Has a quick-strike stroke and can get into a zone. There is no doubt his best football is ahead of him at the next level as he has a late-bloomers feel to his skill set. Quality prospect with upside for the next level as a BCS/non-BCS level prospect.

After reading ESPN's evaluation... sounds like I could work for them. Came to the same conclusion after watching the kids film. *pats self on back* HA.

What's crazy is that after all the positive things they rave about and proclaiming that "his best years are ahead of him", he is ranked at #45.

This kid will blow up as a Senior.

Does anyone know if he'll be an EE?
