*Harris' recovery is still in question. He's burned his Redshirt but may go for a Medical if necessary, again depending on how he progresses.

I believe McNeil may overtake Brewer, his reps increase as season progresses.

Nickel---I'LL be interested to see who along with Waggner and Gordon will get reps---TT?

Good depth and talent. Defense looks solid.

Most of your changes are graduating this year.

Next year's defense will have SEC depth along the line.

DE - Sentimore/Phillips/Taylor
DT - McCullers/Bradley/O'Brien
DE - Couch/Walls/Johnson
OLB - Smith/Williams
ILB - Johnson/King
ILB - Bynum/Harris
OLB - Maggitt/Lewis
CB - Bonner/Thomas/Dallas
CB - Coleman/Orta/Gordon
S - Brewer/McNeill
S - Randolph/Moore

Cool post.. It's really impressive when you see the players listed together at the amount of tallent we have assembled. :good!:

Whoa... really? I'm late to the party, but this is better than I thought if he is a DT.

Ya not sure why thread title says OL. Although we needed to have signed an OL last cycle, so I wish he were an OL.

ESPN early analysis last year said he'd definitely end up on the OL not DL.

I think he will play DT when we line up in the 4-3 and DE when we line up in the 3-4.

This is a huge pickup. I'm just waiting for the official word from the university b4 I start booming.

is he a DT or an OL i heard DT but the thread says OL

He'll start out on the defensive line but a number of schools felt he projected best on the offensive line. I could definitely see him ending up on th Oline down the road. There is actually going to be much more of a need on the Oline in the coming years compared to the defensive line IMO.

I agree with this. He could be our future RT or LT if he's too tall for DL.

Apparently from what I've heard, he's too much of a beast on the DL to move him to O... U need those bully's with the killer attitude on defense..

I've seen this a lot, but I'm not so sure about there being more of a need on the O-line vs the D-line. I realize we didn't take any O-linemen in this class, but we had three that redshirted. I think Dallas Thomas is the only one we're losing this year. So, 2013 should not be a problem. In 2014, Tiny and Marcus Jackson will be Seniors...maybe one more guy, not sure. The three that are RS Freshman this year will be RS Juniors. I think the class of '13 will have 4-5 O-linemen in it. So, in '14, they will be Sophomores/RS Freshmen.

Comparatively, our D-Linemen are scattered about as well with several in their last year or two. The difference being, you usually want a lot more D-Linemen because you rotate them out. O-Linemen, barring injury, often start and play every play of the game that the offense is on the field.

Also have to wait and see what happens in the 2013 and 2014 recruiting classes of course. Never know when you're gonna pick up the next Tiny or the next JUCO D-Lineman.

So 24/7 and Scout say he's committed, ESPN and Rivals don't have anything up. Are there still concerns? Seems like it would be a great story on any site IMO.

He signed scholarship papers and sent them in. He has also sent his official transcript to UT. As long as we admit him next week he will be here for fall camp.

The way I see it is that it is a lot easier to address an immediate need on the defensive line as compared to the offensive line. You can find a number of quality JUCO Defensive Lineman who can play immediately. Quality JC Olineman are few and far between.

They basically are going to have to count on all three of the current redshirt freshman to pan out in the future or they are going to have major issues up front in 2-3 years. They also need to get at least one more impact guy in this class (hopefully Koehler). I would feel much better about the future Oline position with Phillips and Koehler added to the fold. I do agree with you about Kerbyson though. He's the one who I think will definitely be a player and could be a very good tackle or guard, the others I think the jury is still out on.
