Complete BS. Guess we can't all pull schollies or greyshirt. Phillips was trying to EE last fall but found out he couldn't because of his credit hours. He wasn NEVER cleared at UF his stepdad said he was on track heading into the spring.
UM has higher standards for students but lower for athletes. UF and Vandy have the highest standards for athletes in the SEC.

Where do you think he'll end up?

UM and Ole Miss will take him now from what the UF guys are hearing. I think he ends up at UM with his other teammates but Ole Miss or Aub could get a look. FSU,Ga,USF all said no thanks from the reports.

They may still be at the top but I heard they lowered their standards when Franklin got there.

Athletic standards have been higher since 2005. UM requires higher standards for non-athletes.

Dont you dare take your ball and run off again

Who are we going to hear Gator recruiting news from?

Plus, you got to be around to take the punches when we kick your ass in Neyland this year(finally)(Hopefully)

Welcome back HG appreciate your input unlike some others...

Thanks..no worries. I allowed a few people to get under my skin after years on this board. I don't try or expect everyone to agree with me. I have NO issues with anyone here and enjoy this site more than all others. I have a more open dialogue with others so sometime people take things the wrong way if you don't add j/k or imo/jmo etc. Kind of like the no homo rule.

I read that on TD and ITG but it's not the case. Even Muschamp talked about the kid after NSD. He had gotten up to 300 pounds and was going to be in the rotation. Luke said the staff was even trying to get him to appeal and if it didn't happen they had a plan inplace for Prep school.

Fowler cleared. Bullard has until 11:59 pm on Tuesday night to be cleared. If both of them get in, I can live with the loss of Phillips. He's good but not a corner piece of the class. I wish the best of luck to him though.

There had been talk about Bullard not qualifying. I'm interested to see what happens there.

Bullard is just waiting on the clearing house. IF DF got in then I would be floored if Bullard doesn't get in. It was always rumored that Folwer and Phillips were the ones who had work to do. Bullard just needed a higher test score. A month back he said he got the 3 points he needed so it's just getting the 'AA to clear him for Summer term.

I'm hearing that a bunch of schools -- as u might expect -- are trying to get involved. I know most of you have heard Miami and Ole Miss. I just got off a plane, but I can confirm Ole Miss is in fact, very, very interested. Also, I've been told that Maryland has or will inquired about the situation. Both of those schools will pitch the early playing time angle.
Well, remember, I wasn't covering the state of Florida last year ... However, I've seen the guy's film and when they say the film doesn't lie, they're right. He's a tall kid at the DT position. A little bit like Ed Chester was at UF back in the day. Strong, quick, agile ... and looks pretty flexible for a big guy. I know some liked him on offense; but off film, to me he's a very solid DT prospect.

BTW, it wouldn't be a shock if Miss. State also tried to get involved here

Ouch. Hadn't thought about that one as the rumors came out on Stone going back to Center.. Bullard too far into school to be making those type of mistakes. :banghead2:

Thanks HG. I hadn't kept up. I remember back when he visited Knoxville there were rumors of academic problems. Of course that's a vague term so it could be anything. He's a great talent. I wish we could've kept him interested. Do you think they'll (clearing house) flag his test score or will he get in?
