STRENGTHS: Bynum is a quick linebacker who can cover a lot of ground sideline-to-sideline. He has long arms on a nice frame. He was effective in playing running backs in passing situations downfield. During instruction, he quickly picked up new concepts and exhibited an ability to process action quickly.
WEAKNESSES: Bynum will need to continue to bulk up on his 6-foot-1 frame if he remains at outside linebacker.
CONCLUSION: Bynum is a versatile linebacker who appears capable of adapting to different schemes. He has very good athleticism and intelligence on the football field, allowing him to react quickly on the field and put himself in position to make a play

We have offered and are trying to convince him to either sign with us or to delay his signing to Cincy.

If true, I like the idea. If you lose a LB you think will play early, it only makes sense to me to go after another LB to fill the spot.

Probably Leggett or Kirven. From what I've heard Patterson may not sign tomorrow unless something changes. According to a lot of posters and smoke on VQ, he is pparently not really ready to make a final decision... TIFWIW, just a rumor at this point.

indication to me that one of the 4 on the board has said no to Tennessee. they are coming up short at LB so it is a need.

1 Dont think CP will call and tell a school no before his announcement

2 Davis should be a Vol

3 Leggett could do this

4 Kirven and his family have been described as straightforward with the staff... please dont be Kirven...

That, and with a new system, we need as many bodies as possible to see who translates the best.

that's my guess. we have felt him slipping away since the weekend..

I would hate to miss out on him but we wouldnt see him on the field for two years anyhow. Really hope we get him but I think our DT class is pretty solid and we could really use another LB at this point who could play next year.

Sorry, still haven't seen any evidence to support this. Can someone provide a legitimate link? TIA

Honestly, rather than take a last minute replacement, I would prefer the save the scholarship for next year's class. No more marginal prospects IMO, but then again what do I know.
