its a shame really...real talented dude. not fast like you expect...runs like a 4.7 but he is a football player not a track runner.

my dream class would have been legget, deon bush and tracy howard in the same secondary...sick

If Tennessee has an academic standard, I don't want it flexing for a single athlete. It's a university and should act as such.

My dream class if we could get Leggett in, would be McNeil, Bonner, Leggett, and Gray in the same secondary. Sounds like a real upgrade to me.

If they can get him qualified, it would be the coup of this class.

Really if they can convince him to go to prep (say Georgia Military) it would be a huge win for us.

I was aware of the open case against Pender but this is what Pender was quoted as saying as well...

"Yes sir the delay with admissions was because of the classes I had taken there at the alternative learning center, so I couldn't be admitted from what I was told until that was cleared up," he said. "There was some paperwork there that needed to be finalized, but now it looks like everything has been taken care of. I think it was mainly a question of how legit the learning center was because no D-I prospect had gone there and still gone to school, so that was really the question."

once the classes were cleared the hold came from the pending case.

Quiz Williams was set to enroll early at UF and was sent back to HS because of 3 online classes he took. His HS and UF said he was good to go but the NCAA said come back in June.

Getting him in is one thing. Keeping him in is completely different. The last thing this team needs is a academic casualty.

It's way easier to stay in than get in. With all the help they get you have to make a real effort to not pass.

It was looking like we were going to end NSD with 24. Excellent job by the coaches of using the final spot for a high risk/reward type player. If he doesn't get in, we can assist him in picking a Prep school or he goes elsewhere. Really a win-win situation just getting him on campus.

Former Miami and current Marshall four-star cornerback commitment A.J. Leggett will visit Knoxville. He'll be there along with four-star WR Quinshad Davis.

:good!:
