Crawley will be taking visits to a few schools soon.

“I will be visiting Michigan and Tennessee some time soon. I am visiting Temple on Saturday and I will be going to the Virginia Tech spring game.”

“First is the education, then the environment. It has to feel comfortable for me and my family. I would also like to get early playing time.”

Crawley took home the defensive back MVP award for his efforts and is a long, active and quick cornerback with a great frame to add weight. He's not as physical or as thick as Carter, but he's a bit longer in his legs and arms and he uses that length to blanket receivers. Crawley covers a lot of ground quickly and he plays the ball well in the air, using those long arms of his to disrupt receivers and deflect passes. When he has to turn and run, he can do so with long, effortless strides and he is disciplined and patient.

The main schools he is focusing on are Michigan, UNC, Tennessee, Colorado, Temple, Miami, Uconn, & VT. Wants to visit all of them. Colorado looks like the team to beat.

This is a good example why its still early in the recruiting year. It seems like a new guy pops up on our radar screen almost everyday.

What puts the Vols in the mix? A major that Crawley is dead set on.

"They are going to be near my top," Crawley said. "I want to major in Mortuary Science. It's a business that never goes out of business. It's something different. I want to have my own funeral home."

"I knew about them before they started recruiting me," Crawley said. "I used to watch Eric Berry and he was always so good. If I choose to go there, then I know they will prepare me for the next level. I know coach Joseph has turned the defensive back system around. He is a great coach."

"I want a place that really meets my educational needs and a place that gives me a chance to play," Crawley said. "Early playing time is important, but if I have to improve then I'll work at it to earn my playing time."

Has a good relationship w/ coach Sirmon & Joseph, sounds like we could be the early leader.

Another reason Tennessee is near the top for Crawley is his knowledge of the Vol program. He's been watching them for a while and he's developed a good relationship with the Tennessee staff.

Education wise it could come down to us and VT. I know we have two of the best, if not the only two programs in the country, for that particular major. Get him over to the "Body Farm" on his visit. Who would've thought that could be a recruiting point?

Would be a great pick up IMO, he already has good size at 6'1 180. I've tried telling everyone Dooley is getting this team bigger all over the field, he is going the Saban route w/ getting taller & more physical DB's. Now of course he would take a shorter DB if he was a cant miss prospect but he would prefer bigger DB's than what we have been use to. I kept trying to tell people we were not pursuing Holsey hard b/c the staff didnt like his height & it turned out true.

He seems like a smart, classy kid with good size at 6'1. He has good speed and is a solid 4 star (for the star gazers) with a legit offer list. I like our chances of him ending up wearing orange and white from what I have read. Go get em' Dooley!

Oh, I thought he was talking about out football program that has been dead since 2005. In that case I hope that he can come in here and "make us look good!"

Well done...I chuckled.

I like the sound of this guy. He sounds intelligent and seems like he's dedicated.
