Would have to put on a lot of weight to be an sec linebacker. Might be a nice safety thigh.

He could play safety right now given his measurables.

I am from Leeds, have watched this kid for a while and went to their state championship game. I don't think it would be as tough a pull as people think. Sell the grandpa, and you get this kid. He wasn't allowed to practice on Wednesday nights late due to church. I know he's got a stupid frame/physique, incredible upside, and was rumored to have run step for step with Mr Rose in the forty on more than one occasion after practice (before Mr. Rose went to Auburn of course). Also to put it into perspective, at any 6A school he'd be a starting D End or freak linebacker. At Leeds this kid played nose guard or interior d-line, and was a menace. I hope we look hard at him. Given the stories surrounding his grandpas invlovement and discipline, I'm sure he'd fit the mold of what Dooley is looking for. Take all this for what its worth, I don't personally know this kid, I'm just from the Mayberry size town he's from.

I really like this guy. I think he brings some versatilty and could play a couple of positions on defense. I'm not really sure where we stand with the guy considering we just offered him.

"I am on my way home from Tennessee," said Javiie Mitchell. "The Tennessee camp was good. I liked it. While I was there I toured the facilities. I really liked the indoor facility. We went to the learning center and went around campus. It's a great place to be.

"I went to the Alabama on Tuesday," he said. "Everything went good. I stayed for one session. We did some linebacker drills with coach Sunseri. I also worked with coach Smart.

Rivals article says we made a big impression, and he has us at least in his top 5. Said that he has never seen at another school a program like VFL. Also, his brother is a huge UT fan.
