Theres always a chance man. He came to knoxville tn in the winter for a visit. wasnt joy riding thats for sure. if i wasnt interested my butt would be going to visit hawaii or usc west or somewhere alot warmer and closer to fun and the beach. he might not commit but hes at least considering it.

Shanks may have legit interest in UT, but E Goldman will have no effect on him whatsoever regarding FSU.

Shanks commited to FSU when FSU already had other DTs commited and everyone in the country knew that FSU lead for Goldman. If anything A Taylor switching his commitment to UA from FSU probably helped them with any depth issues.

Again Shanks may have legit interest in UT and he does visit after being commited but Goldman will no effect on him.

I think you bring some really good info to the board but this is a stretch because your not in Shanks head. You may be right, but there's no telling what's going through his head right now, especially considering he wants early PT.

I'm a student at UT and was at RTs lastnight were the recruits were at. Shanks was there and didn't seem like he was gonna change to UT, taking a visit for fun IMO. Was saying the FSU has more d lineman in the NFL lol

Nonsense. Many kids committ and decommitt in the blink of an eye, so there's absolutely no way you can know what Shanks is thinking. Only he knows what impact that will have. He may specifically go to FSU because he wants to play with Goldman, or he may decide against them for that very reason.

How does a player who is considering UT "seem" at RT's?

So he was randomly telling everyone FSU had more linemen in the NFL?

No... Danny obrien was talking to him and trying to get ppl on him to come to UT. Danny was saying the best lineman ever was white while shanks said FSU has more players in the NFL.

I will give you the short version of what I just told our members at Warchant on the FSU site. I just got off the phone with Justin Shanks and he said that he had a great time at Tennessee this weekend.

I then asked him if he was still firm in his commitment and he said. "I don't know. Not thinking about decommitting but everything is just up in the air. I will be visiting FSU next weekend, "said Shanks.

Paul, Brent or the other guys will probably have a more detailed report of the visit but I figured I would just pass that along for you guys. I also plan on talking with the Prattville assistant coaches to get their takes on it sense they help a lot with the recruiting process for each kid. Sounds like they did give Justin some things to think about but I also want to see what he says after a few days as well. If the coaches give me anything I will drop off a note when they get back with me.
