Some people just hear what they want. UT was never in the game for EG. CSS has nothing to do with EG going to UA.

Fulmer and Kiffin both killed the roster. Dooley has been working hard to fix it and I will give him full credit for the good recruiting. But other than Hinshaw, he missed badly on recruiting his first staff. CLT and CJC were already here. That affects the development of the current roster and the decisions of young men like Justin Shanks. That situation appears to be getting much better with his latest coaching staff recruits. We will know in a year or two with this group because they are proven, highly desired coaches with many top programs. Hopefully that positively impacts the decisions of quality guys like Justin and many of the other committed VFL's.

2003-2005 - Reggie Bush played at USC
2006-2009 - NCAA investigates
summer 2010 - NCAA announces sanctions
2011 season - USC appeals
2012-2014 - recruiting classes affected by 3 yr penalty
2015-2017 - USC feels impact of sanctions (when those classes are seniors)

- There was tons of pressure to hire a staff asap since we were less than a month to signing day

the reason they got hit so hard by the NCAA was the hiring of Kiffin who had his own black cloud in Knoxville at the same time. USC officials laughed at the NCAA and hired kiffin and they got hit hard.

I think I understand why Freak posted the new thread about staying on topic in player threads now. Over 3 pages of Kiffin, Fulmer, and Dooley debates. Not sure what it has to do with Shanks. Has anyone confirmed if he is visiting or not this weekend?

Also if I remember correctly Kiffin was the main recruiter for R Bush when he was at USC on the staff.

Really? Please elaborate. The NCAA ruled all the supposed violations you are referring to as indeed SECONDARY violations. Neither UT nor Kiffin got sanctioned by the NCAA for Kiffin's conduct here.

A whole lot of worrying that, as he stated, came to nothing.

Looks like he's on a long drive right now... So looks like he is coming based on twitter.. Also looks like he would be tough to pull from FSU via the same.

You’ve got to think the depth chart at FSU is having some effect on this guy. I mean, McCullers is a John Henderson–sized beast, but that’s the only guy down in the box that could stay ahead of Shanks.
