I hate that he didn't pick UT... but anything that can weaken UF's dominance in Florida is good for Tennessee. Go Noles! Go Canes!

FSU problem has never been recruiting...Top 5 over the last 10 years. FSU becoming a "national brand" again is great for UF and Miami. Now they can become the instate bad guy in the eyes for HS coaches and players.

I do not see it as weakening UF. FSU is having to go out state still to gets top players. Not they do not get their share of instate. Plus CJF still has prove he can coach as good as he can recruit.

Same goes for CWM, but their roster was still loaded when he came in.

Some kids are just dumb. Why did he say it will be a surprise when everyone knew it was fsu. Also, why in the world would he want to go there with their depth chart.

Joe Harris OL is getting rdy to commit any minute to USC and is saying it is down to UA or USC and he does not have a legit offer from UA. Go figure with these kids.

I guess Shanks thought people would be surprised if he left the state.

I understand the logic on both ends...Stuckely maybe headed to Juco, Hamilton seems like he'll get pushed out or headed to USF and Mario Eadwards will grow into a DT....plus they know the want beat Bama or Aub for Goldman.

^ Steel sharpens steel. Competition breeds excellence. Etc, etc. Just like USC When 4/5* after 4/5* would go there every year.

They have 5 DT who will be SR when he gets to campus and a few will get forced out this season....out of last years haul only Timmy J and Derrick Mitchell are set at DT. Staples and Tre Jackson will get a look at OL first and Terry Bell will never make it back to FSU.

Getting players into FSU has been the issue Fisher has done a nice job at getting kids in that actually have a chance....UF aint going nowhere but Miami is interesting down here....FSU has always depended on SoGA and FLA for their kids going into Bama is new but its working thus far in Shanks is a fine DT not a world beater but most would love to have him

Casher is the one that got away that UA wanted, but I will gladly take E Williams in that trade.:)

Oh no! We're not going to get any more recruits this year and Dooley won't even get us a top 25 class! The sky is falling!

Seriously though, that sucks. We really could have used this guy, :ermm:
