jmoore are there concerns with his academics? Why would South Alabama and Arkansas State come by? Other guys on the team they are pursuing?

I think they were there watching other players, while at the same time checking on Shanks.

What jmoore said about other players is correct. Prattville is loaded with prospects and every school comes by to check them out. Shanks' grades are fine.

I dont know how close our GA McNeil & Shanks are, I know they are family members but I hope they are close enough to get him to be a Vol!!

We have to be careful what we talk about here. DeMarco cannot come off campus on a visit to Prattville as a GA. This is a rule Kiffin ignored but Dooley will follow.

When Shanks comes to visit he can certainly hang out with the weight training staff....

If any of these elite kids at DT are thinking of their futures (NFL), they will hopefully look at our depth chart and see ALL the playing time they will recieve if they come in and work their arses off.

I think i get your point. Sometimes when you are selling playing time you are really selling yourself cheap. Instead you should upsell your staff, facilities, and tradition/ media exposure.

I agree. Playing time is nice but almost every team can sell that to a top tier recruit. "If you come in and work like heck, you'll play early.

I have said it before but for the sake of enjoying the bumps, I want to remind you again that a guy going silent to Auburn is the best option for TN. When they get crushed by the NCAA, we will be there to pick up the pieces of the class. They cannot all go to Alabama who will be full at that point, and Shanks has a TN connection that should come in handy.
