'12 AL DT Justin Shanks

Shanks starts and plays in every game. Prattville is 3-4 deep at every position so he does rotate in and out. Two weeks ago against Daphne, Shanks took out 2 relatively large O lineman at the same time and put them both on their back!

I saw him play earlier in the season on TV and Shanks is an animal. I dont know why anyone would be backing off him. No way he doesn't start unless he was benched for disciplinary reasons.

Heck of a game y'all played Friday night. I didn't make it to Prattville, but I did go to Hoover and I look for yall to blast them Friday night and win 6A.

Says he is planning to visit Tennessee. Got to love that! He has a cousin who is an intern on the Vols' S&C program. It put a smile on my face.

I am still wondering how the numbers will work out..especially with the 3 amigos coming in

This class includes one monster Freshman DT and one JUCO DT in the numbers. Won't say he glides into the rotation, but pretty favorable he's in the two-deep come NC State. I can say that because he'll probably be in the two-deep anywhere he goes if he does the work.

And being in the two-deep at Tennessee means you'll get plenty of work. From what I've seen with this philosophy you keep rotating the fresh players in, so it's like you're always attacking with strong players. Sorta like sawing a tree down.

Last year we were cutting trees with a hacksaw. This year we'll be using a chainsaw.

Kind of like what LSU does, if memory serves me correct one of the analysts during the sec championship said that LSU rotates as many as 10 defensive lineman, correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't get your hopes up here.

This kid should dominate his competition day n and day out; however, for some particular reason he has to get slapped around a bit before he decides to get his @$$ in gear. His potential is scary and I would love to see him in orange without a shadow of a doubt. I just wish that someone would piss in his grits before he came out the locker room.
