Great athelete. Im usually down on tweener type players but im sure he is the type that will actually find a position in college and make it on the field. He can be a solid 2nd RB or a backup LB that may eventually earn a starting role by his jr/sr season. I wish Alabama had room for him but it doesnt appear to be the case. Will be a nice pickup for either MSU or Tenn.

Safety butmay grow into LB. UA was looking at him for Safety but a few ahead of him with UA holding a spot for L Collins.

UT is also holding a spot for Collins. I don't think he comes here but that spot is wiiiiide open if he wants it.

According to Fortenberry he didn't make it in, but we're definitely in his top group and he'll visit in a few weeks.

BTW this is somebody UA definitely wanted. Not a class breaker but most believed it came down to numbers. That he had a commitable offer and if he would have commited to UA during the summer he would be playing for UA, but he held off his recruitment and UA has added a few since the summer. With the new 25 rule spots are very few this late in the game and I think with the few spots left they plug in a few names for each and whoever commits first gets that spot.

Again I think MSU might have the edge right now because of his team mate but I do think UT can gain alot of ground with a visit and possibly get a commitment from him. This kid can play on both sides of the ball and has the potential to see playing time his freshman year. Even at UA if he ended up there.

I went to Mississippi Statewhen they played Louisiana-Lafayette," said Beniquez Brown. "I am going back over there when they play South Carolinanext weekend. It’s just going to be an unofficial visit. I haven’t scheduled any official visits yet.

"The visit to Starkville was really good. I spoke to the coaches and toured the campus. The coaches were saying they want me to be a part of their family. They expect big things there in the next couple of years."

"I really like it there," he said. "I feel like if I went there I could play early. I know I would get a good education. My cousin, Kivon Coman, is committed there. That’s a plus. I just don’t know yet. I still want to take my visits."

"Alabama has all these commitments now," Brown said. "I waited and tried to make sure I knew where I wanted to go. They have now slacked off a bit in recruiting me. I just need to find the best place for me. They are not really up there anymore."

Per VQ: Still plans to visit in the next few weeks. Thompson's recruiting him, and he's also been talking to Carson Anderson about UT.

The staff has been recruiting him as a RB or he'll end up a S in college. UF wants him at LB, but Saban and the staff here at UT see him at S on defense. I think MSU wants him at S also. I'd like to give him a shot at RB here. He had a 9 ypc last year and over 1,000 yds.

:hi:

I assume you're makin' with the funny, but in case others might not, I'll clarify:

Good 'n' = good one, meaning really good player.

Brown would be a great pickup. He's got the talent and really good character too.
I wish we had room to take him. But since we don't, I'd rather see y'all get him than see him go to MSU.

Btw, you should have kept you're Elisha avatar.
