It is other worldly for someone who is qualified, interested and has the support of the fans, students and players to not even be considered for the position. Absolutely nuts.

Cut the fake news! Phil Fulmer and Tennessee do not pass on a Football Writers Association of America Coach of the Year finalist. If we let that fish get away, we will be a laughing stock for decades. If you think the coaching search has humiiated us. Wait til that happens.

Why would we be laughed at for not hiring a boy in a mans body. Nobody else wants him either. Has a lot of growing up to do.

I hate Kiffin's guts. But I hate the AD, so I want him here now. All I want is a balcony seat and a good selection of concessions. Maybe a few noise makers too. I would have taken ring side, but the thought of how bad if would be if one knocked the crap out of the other seemed too risky.

And if Fulmer falls, maybe the administrators will end up under him.

Guess you guys missed this, huh? "I hope to be a stabilizing and unifying force through this, just because we do have some grey hair and lots of experience at this place, and sometimes when you're younger, you screwed it up so bad that you figured it out later. You don't make the same mistakes again." Duh??

No, you just invent newer ones.

Imagine this. A Kiffin-Martin combo.
Lane Kiffin responds:
And he's the best recruiter in the country!!! Hello🤦*♂️ Hire him. @ESPNCFB @coachtee17 @phillipfulmer

Bruce Feldman tweets:
Have heard that Tennessee still hasn't made contact w/ #USC OC Tee Martin. Kinda shocked that UT hasn’t at least inquired abt his interest/vision. He led UT to a national title; developed lots of NFL talent at UK & USC and just helped lead Trojans to a Pac-12 title as their OC.

All the delusional kiffin fans should ask the question: would he be considered back at USC? if he has "matured",grown up ect, then why not take him back there?I think these Kiffin threads are Kiffin made, just keep trolling us guy.

Is USC a dumpster fire? Do they need a new coach?

I would definitely like to see Kiffin come back but it ain't happening now that Fulmer would be his boss. Oil and water those two.

You can tell he'll do this because of his stellar performances as head coach at P5 schools.

He just went (10-3) and won the CUSA Championship with team that went (9-27) in the last three years combined!

The guy is going to land at Power 5 school if not this season then next and win a lot of football games.

Will someone please get the OP a Kiffin Fathead for Christmas? Maybe that will solve his obsession.

Fifteen P-5 openings. Not a single interview. Not even a sniff. Guess it's just all these experienced ADs that are paid millions to make judgment calls like this are all morons, huh?

Well you saw how stupid Currie was as an AD with the backing of supposed “smart businessmen” didn’t you?

What's crazy is if the UT AD Twitter did a poll with Lane Kiffin and other options, I'd bet $100 that Kiffin would get 70% of vote minimum.

Like its not that hard to make a solid hire here. Honestly, Phil can't worry about what the boosters think. At the end of the day, there is much more fan money/involvement on those 6-7 homes games per year than any one donor.

OK. Gonna simplify it for you. Do you think a COY candidate whose team set all kinds of offensive records at FAU and ranked high nationally in many areas and has expressed no interests in the myriad openings must be locked up. It's one of those forest for the trees things.

Lane's problem is that he does it his way and doesn't kiss azz. Not Pat Hadens or Nick Sabans. He wouldn't kiss Fulmers or Haslams. He wouldn't kiss other AD's either. Kiff will be amazing in a spot where the AD doesn't expect the coach to kiss up to boosters but rather expects the head coach to be an actual head coach. Gary Paterson at TCU for example. TCU loves the guy because he does his job and does it well. Its not that simple here but it should be. I want Kiff and I believe he would win here, but UT has blurred their definition of the head coach. That is why we are where we are imo. Until all these bozos are gone, we will get a steady diet of Dooley's, Jones's and Currie's. No one better will put up with it.

I’m all Kiffin. Fulmer not.
But what about the come together video? Fulmer knows his legacy in Tennessee history will be sealed when he signs the guy who will beat Bama and the rest from here on out. And it's out there,Tee is coming home also. There will not be an empty seat all season.

There doesn't seem to be too much if any backlash for Taggart leaving after 1 year but Kiffin was treated like Hitler in comparison. Just an observation.
