The ECB was running hot as heck. I think the oversized ash holes (#true story) I drilled in the charcoal pan are working too good. Had to wrap the base in aluminum foil to kill the air supply and drop the temp. Also dunked some charcoal in water and added them to cool things down. I think I had built an amateur smelter with my kiln brick lining the base as legs, lol.

I know it would. Although not as many hours since there is less mass to retain heat. Works awesome on any larger cut.
