This is encouraging. Means that players like what they see out of CJH and his staff and know that if they are worth a durn, they can play in the toughest league in the country sooner than later.

Go Big Orange!!

I think we finish top 15. FSU’s class is imploding and Florida is ranked 76th last I checked lol
They lost 1 player.......a BIG player, but everyone else is staying put!
So far:)

I am still lost that three 4 star players in the state of Tennessee signed with Kentucky. What made them think Kentucky was a better fit based on this past year?

Another interesting tidbit, Rivals thinks we may end up landing Walter Nolen even though he is connected to A&M. Reference Future Forecast:

Heup and company have done a remarkable job to this point. Anyone that can not see that is either blind or stupid.

Definitely cannot complain about the recovery in the recruiting class and I think we have some bigger splashes coming from the transfer portal. It would have been nice to get some of those players going to UK but I think we have a solid class.

You answered your own question. It had nothing to do with this past year, I think it was a knoxnews article talking about how these kids committed to Stoops over Pruitt. Hard to blame them in hindsight, hopefully they'll get used to their new nicknames. After they graduate we'll call them "Owen" which is short for 0-4 against UT!

Money is what made them think it was a better fit and them being steered there.

Our conference ranking is more important than our national ranking at the moment.

Currently 247 has us at 7th in the SEC.

True but we are in the upper mix. Not all of the 4-5 stars pan out correctly. If you look at our scores, we are pretty competitive against anyone in the SEC except Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M who still appear to be on their own playing field.

Also on rivals were are #5 in the SEC so depends on what source. The sources cannot quite agree on how good these players are so you can only buy so much into rankings. Pruitt's teams ranked very high but did not show it on the field.

I doubt UK could have bid that much on these players. If it was Auburn, LSU, Florida, etc., I would agree with you. UK donors are likely forking out the dough for Basketball Players.

Rivals 4th in the SEC 247 7th and really after the top three it is like almost dead even to determine the next four. No one really has enough of an advantage to say their class is any better than the other. The SEC top three are again Bama, Ga, and this year Texas A&M. So then you get into returnees and the portal and if you can find players to plug the problems you had on your team this year. Were in great shape with returnees need a few defensive stoppers from the portal and think were looking at 9 or 10 wins next season. No reason we can't put up 40 a game next season with the offensive players we have coming back. The problem is keep the other team from doing it that is where we need dramatic improvement. The defensive side of the ball is where we have to get a lot better.

Kentucky has thrown a lot more money at football as of late. Their facilities have been upgraded tremendously

Last I checked KY had not taken a QB this year. I wonder what they are thinking. They seem to be habitually a QB short of a good team.

Two of the three Players going to KY are brothers. One is a QB and KY promised him a shot at playing QB. We were not doing that.

I think if we get the investigation resolved we’re good. Next year should be much better.
With the transfer portal and being allowed to play 4 games & still redshirt, not so sure the NCAA cloud is as major issue as it was in the past.

If stiff NCAA penalties happen, there is now the option to transfer and play somewhere else.
