hopefully he will have a huge senior year, IMO he should be atleast a 3 star

I hope so too. I'd love to see him in Orange. I think he may have a tough senior year though. Reed graduating is really going to hurt you guys. I was really close with the Gurchieks back before I moved to Murfreesboro, and even though I am all Green Wave (Gallatin), I didn't hate Mt. Juliet quite as much this year. What sucks for Vaughn is the fact that Perry runs the dadgum wing-t. The only reason MJ ran any shotgun AT ALL this year is because of who you had at QB. Another thing working against Vaughn is the piece of crap that the TSSAA calls the playoffs. It's gonna be hard to rack up extra postseason stats when your team has to go up against Rutherford County schools (that over the last 10 years has put 3 different teams in a total of 9 of 10 state championships, winning 5 of them. And that's just in the 2000's. BTW, Blackman will have their first in the next 3 years if Shaddowens sticks around). It was a disgrace that MJ had to play Oakland 1st round. But until somebody drags Ronnie Carter out of his office, the TSSAA is gonna suck. But I really hope Vaughn has a great season next year, except when the Bears are at Gallatin.

yeah, but he will still get his.. im pretty good friends with him, and he has made it 100% clear that if we were to offer him he would commit on the spot.

and i agree totally with the playoffs.

I hope he hits all the camps he can between now and then, because his stats on the field aren't going to show his potential. So he's going to have to go to the scouts. I just don't think the wing-t is the best set for showcasing talent, especially at wr. And no offense to Cornelia, but Rod Wilks was absolutely dominant in high school. He had better stats, won 2 state titles, was familiar with both pro and spread sets, and was only a 3 star recruit. Now he isn't even a wr. I don't even know if I can remember the last wr that went to a BCS conference after playing the wing-t in high school. Another thing working against him is the bunch we're getting this year. We'll only have slots for a couple kids next year at wr, and looking at the type of guys we're recruiting its unlikely. But I really do hope he gets noticed.

As an MJ alum I'd love to see him get a spot but the offense that they run is crazy for a WR prospect. That's what kills so many TN prospects

They already dragged him out. Carter retired last spring.

vaughn made the preseason all state team as a "sub" but i think he has a chance to be the top WR in the state by seasons end if he puts in the time and effort.

Question will be do you guys actually have someone who can throw it to hi to create any stats, and a coach who will allow it. As an MJHS alum we have been stuck in the offesive stone age for 30 years

And this right here is why I'm so pumped about Justin Hunter. Can't wait to see the kid in the endzone.

the only set back he has, last year obviously we got him the ball a lot, he put fear in every defense we faced but we still have no idea who the QB will be this year, so that is the only thing holding him back and its a shame with the talent that he has.

What are the chances that we land this guy? Is he a legit SEC prospect? Does DD and Baggett go after bigger receivers are smaller shifty/quick receivers. Those are all questions that I have at this point. It seems as though the receivers DD has already offered are around the 5'11''-6'1'' range. I, personally, like the taller more physical receivers like Kiffin recruited to USC. I like that style of down field play.

Several other schools have been showing a lot of interest in the talented athlete, including Tennessee, Houston, Louisville, Kentucky, Illinois, and Middle Tennessee State.

Cornelia is familiar with the Vols and their new coaching staff. He attended Tennessee’s Junior Day earlier in the spring and took in the Annual Orange and White game earlier this month.

“It’s amazing how much fan support they get at a spring game,” Cornelia said. “I think they have a great quarterback in true freshman Tyler Bray.”

Thats one thing I look back wished we had more WRs & RBs at the O&W game...

He put on a nice show, one that we can use as a super positive in getting skilled guys to give us a longer look and even landing some

Levi Brown made it all the way to the Bills from Mount Juliet. Been more talent here the past few years. A huge boom in population has that effect I guess.

He is to much of an athlete to make him a TE or DE. He is a great receiver in the red zone. In the two spring scrimmages MJ had he had three TD's. All three were with a man all on him.

Vaughn just got home from the Tennesse camp last week, teams really starting to look at him harder.

just a 2 star on rivals, but that is underrated, he plays in a wing T offense so he doesnt get thrown to as much as he should.
