- gvxyoung, decked out in an orange-and-white striped neck tie, said dooley and chaney spoke to him about "the future and expectations" for him at tennessee.
"they explained some of plans they have for me," said young, who had 42 touchdowns and more than 3,000 all-purpose yards as a senior. "the biggest conversation was about what it's going to take for me to get on the field - obviously, working hard and soaking up as much as i can and adapting to the program."
- Scout"Oh, my goodness, it was amazing ... so fun!" he said. "Everything was so organized and perfectly set up. The food was great, the people were great. It was just like being with family. It seemed like everybody had a fun time."
"Living here, I'm up there all the time," he said. "Just since I committed I've been up there for every home game since the UAB game."
["They plan on utilizing my speed, trying to get me the ball in open areas," he said. "I'm looking to get the ball on handoffs, on catches, on kick returns and punt returns ... the same way Coach (Derek) Dooley used Phillip Livas at Louisiana Tech."
Tennessee return men were almost comically inept handling punts in 2010, routinely muffing or fumbling the ball. Young expects that area to be vastly improved in 2011.
"I feel like once we get on the same page, we can be a force on special teams," he said. "Special teams are very important to Coach Dooley, and we're going to work hard on that area."
Is Hill more of a take than Morris?
I'm inclined to think a Smith/Morris combo isn't as redundant as a Hill/Smith backfield.
Smith and Hill both seem to be power backs whereas Morris is that speed back we've been trying to get to be a part of this class.
Maybe we take Hill/Smith/Morris and drop/grayshirt DY since Morris or Tino or Dallas could fill his role?
I like DY, but if we can get Hill, Smith, and Morris and get DY to grayshirt, we'd have a nasty RB class.

Hill will be a star on Sundays. I definitely would take him over Morris. And Dooley has already taken Young over Morris, who is committed to North Carolina. Morris is faster than Young, but Young has incredible moves with plenty of speed. When Young makes a break and stretches his legs, there aren't many DBs with a hope of catching him.
Dude why is DY even in this thread. He's not better than Morris. But back to Hill, he's a big time down hill runner but we already have one in Tom Smith. Morris would be good for this class.
Dude, I'm connecting the dots. Q was about taking Hill or Morris. Morris, a scatback, connected to Young, a scatback. Never said Young was better than Morris. I said we already got Young, you dig? And we don't got Morris and probably won't. Morris is firmly committed, dig? So do we take Hill? I say yes. Young has the scat thing covered. Would it be good to have Morris or Bellamy? Well yeah. A lot of things would be nice if we got the schollies for 'em. But hush, we got to make some choices. I'd take Hill, without doubt or hesitation.

Dig this........Young won't be getting that many carries at RB. YA DIGGGGG!!!!!!!
The thing is, Young will never play RB. He will be a gimmick player and returner.
