Stand corrected. I wouldn't have been upset if he was, though...

So...Any news on who Greg Colquitt is?

Just got off the phone with Jimmy Colquitt. Greg is his Third cousin on his fathers side. He is a different type of punter that him, craig and craigs boys. He is a part of the bloodline. We will see what happens :good!:

How is he a different type of punter? I really don't know anything specific to judge them on besides rugby or normal.

I am not the one that said "He is a different type of punter" but i have talked to Jimmy about other punters before. i would guess he is talking about the time it takes to get the punt off. The Colquitt's must have a family secert when it comes to that, they were all great at it. The other differance is consistency being more important than distance is something the Colquitts focuced on.

This is just my guess as to what he was says by "Different"

Alright. So he might be a little slower and inconsistent, but gets more distance on it? That sounds fairly right considering what I saw and what a couple other people posted

No matter the name, Palardy will punt and kick for four years. Being a high school football fan in Florida, I have personally have seen him pick a badly snapped ball of the carpet (he has great hands...was a QB and receiver when he was younger playing city ball) and punt it 70 yards. He is very mechanically correct and the snap in his leg generates a tremendous amount of energy. The higher the stakes, the better he performs. This kid loves to compete...loves the competition. Here's a little bit of info. you can't get from a DVD or other sources. Palardy has a very short memory. Important for a kicker. If he miskicks any ball, you can count on the fact that the next chance he gets, he won't miss. You can see it in his eyes and his demeanor. Ask his kicking coach. What will it be like when he puts on 15 pounds!

He's just now a junior in high school. If he already has distance, the rest will come and he will only get stronger and longer.

I say he should get an offer before his senior year.

I wouldn't be suprised if Palardy punts, but I doubt he'll be punting when we have the possible #2 punter in the nation.

I say if he doesn't sign with us, he should be stripped of his last name and have to give up the #47.

How many punting Colquitts are there?

They are like thoroughbreds, once they retire from the NFL they get put out to stud. They train their babies from a very early age, even before they are actually born they are taught to kick their mamma's belly as if it's a football. This is a very special breed.

Of all the positions of football in which to have a family legacy of excellence, punting...
