Definately has a "wow" factor. He would fit in quite nicely here. Build that fence DD.

Sorry, but if I had a chance to get an Ivy League education for free it would be hard to turn down unless you were nearly a lock to play at the next level. Just saying....

Nope, no scholarships for athletics in the Ivy league. The academic req's are loosened a little bit, but otherwise nothing is given to athletes.

I went to some Ivy websites. If your family nets less than $80,000 income per year your education is Paid For and on average those families got over $44,000 scholarship/year. Athletes get preverencial treatment. It's scales down from there but because many Multi-Millionaires send their kids there then they don't need any scholarship or aid. It's weird how the Ivy's do it but if you can get in one you usually don't owe anything when you get out. Either you got a bunch of money or they give it to you.

This would be a good year to lock up about 12-14 in state players. We only have three or four elite players in state, but plenty of quality in the o-line. I would like to see a few TN boys representing in the future.

"Georgia Tech offered me official yesterday at 2. I knew that there was a good chance they would offer me at some point, but I did not think they would offer me this soon. I thought I might have to wait until camp this summer. I was expecting after talking to the coaches, I am just happy it came this soon," he said.

"I love Georgia Tech's blocking scheme and that is exactly how I play. I like to line up against somebody and fire off against them. That is exactly what they like to do, move people off the ball. I think I am a perfect fit for their type of style," he said.
"I do not have any summer camp plans yet. I have to look at my summer schedule and my dad's work schedule to work it out so I can hit up some camps. As of right now we are playing it by ear and looking for which camps fit into our schedule," he said. "We are enjoying the process and a lot of my success comes from the things my teammates did. Without them I would not be getting this type of attention. This has been fantastic and going to all these colleges and meeting all these new people has been a blast."

"Stephenson’s Cook is getting some competition for Georgia Tech’s opening at center next season. The Yellow Jackets on Wednesday extended an official scholarship offer to center Mack Crowder of Bristol, Tenn., according to JacketsOnline.com. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound rising senior also has offers from Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Middle Tennessee, and Marshall."

His newest offer came from the reigning ACC Champions, Georgia Tech and the six-foot-four 270-pound center is very excited and a little surprised by the Yellow Jacket offer.

He might be the next orlando pace, but just because mitsu and marshall have offered doesn't mean UT should

Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech offered him too. Thought Dooley was going to keep the in-state talent at home?

He has offers from Georgia Tech and Va-Tech, and he's in our backyard. I really don't care who has offered him though, he's a player.

Honestly it sounds to me like Mack is one of those kids who is focusing more on the educational side of things than the football side of things and depending on his field of study, V.Tech and Ga Tech are fabulous academic institutions. UTK is no community college obviously, but academically there are certain fields that these schools are superior.

I think this kid is destined for greatness whether it is on the field or off.
