"I also plan on camping this summer at Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech. I like those schools. Vandy and Georgia Tech have the academic environments that I am looking for and with a degree from a school like Vanderbilt; you will be able to get a good job. But, my favorite school right now is Tennessee. I grew up here; I have always been a Vol fan. I would say that Tennessee is my number one school right now."

Kerbyson is definitely a name to watch on the OL for '11. He recieved offers from 2 SEC schools this week: Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Him being right in our backyard and being at a position of great need are also in his favor. He will be in for Junior Day at the end of the month.

Sounds like the kind of guy Dooley looks for. Hopefully he'll continue to improve and can get an offer. Never hurts to have a talented player that wants to be a Vol.

I hope he's good enough that we prioritize him....I hate when we slow-play in-state players....Thanks LV, your contributions are top notch!

Ive seen him play when i went to see my cousin play at catholic. hes rather good, good build, footwork is prime. needs to get meaner. I think he is going to be a 4 star, and potentially a top 100 player nationally. Id be shocked if he isnt a rivals 250. Even the user ratings have him as a 4.5 star.

Anyone know what it is about Knoxville Catholic that is producing these linemen? I know they're not highly rated but it seems like they're either getting lucky with a run of good talent or they really know how to "coach em up". Thoughts?....

They are loaded, that's certain.

Looks like we need to raid Knox Catholic this year...

Kerbyson looks to be legit and should have a high rating...Wegzyn looks legit and could get a high rating with a good showing in camp this summer...and I've heard the center at Knox Catholic is legit, possibly a high 3* per Rivals...

All of this right in our backyard...plus Richardson and Washington within 4 hours of campus and a few more in Memphis...could be a good year for us recruiting in the state

Catholic's head coach (Scott Meadows) knows how to produce top players. Hope UT coaches pay attention. Kyler already has an offer from Vandy and Clemson and Arkansas aren't far behind. Wegzyn has serious interest from Vandy, KY, and Michigan schools. Catholic has other players to watch that D-1s are following - huge TE Joey Gaston, a punter, and Cooper another lineman. None have been invited to junior day at UT. Anyone know why?

I think he could definitely be a nice pick-up. I'm just not sure how nice, yet. I don't think this staff will be pushing for a class completely comprised of top 250 players, but I don't think we will just offer every player that has a hint of talent, either.

Easy to attract kids with those facilities. It'd be nice if the ET diocese would spread that money to the Chattanooga Catholic schools as well. That's a sleeping giant, IMO.

Saw in the Knox News that Kyler picked up an offer from Duke and has one coming from Arkansas. Hope the Vols realize the local talent they have at home. Don't want to miss out on this one!

Cause a Duke offer is HUGE...

An offer from any D1 school is huge, there are just different levels of hugeness. Mainly based off tradition (or lack there of). But I know what your saying.
