'11 TN OL/DT Cody Robinson

He looked good, He had to deal with some cramping.there were several scouts there.he cracked 1 or 2 helmets I think I seen him in 3 different helmets throughout the night.

Cody had a really good game. I heard this morning he had 18 pancakes 9 tackles a sack and two tackles for loss. He played really fast. He did go through 3 helmets. Broke the shell on one and knocked the padding out of the other. The coolest thing was he cramped up they pulled him out for a play and he went right back in. He would not quit.

Great post. People need to get off of Cody's nutsack. Dude is NOT good enough for the Vols, or he would have an offer. The same people last year were clammoring for a Bo Wallace offer. R E T A R D E D.

We have commitments from Crowders, Downs, and Kerbyson. By what most people say we lead for Clear and Richardson and are in good shape with King. That's 6 of the top 10 players in Tennessee. If your rant isn't about Robinson in general then it really doesn't make sense. Dooley is making a concerted effort to lock down what he feels is the best talent in the state already.

Thanks for the update, volinmcminnville, I knew you'd be providing good info. I don't care what anyone says about NOT being good enough, they're not changing my mind that we should get this guy.

Please keep us posted throughout the year, 19 pancakes= great, 9 tackles from the DT position isn't easy either.

I encourage you to get more information about the quality of the opposing teams before forming such a strong opinion. Scrimmaging or playing against Dekalb County (Tennessee 3A) or Moore County (Tennessee 1A) is like comparing a tent to the Empire State building.

In time the kid may wind up at Tennessee. But let's see how the kid does against equal talent at Lincoln County (6A) and Cookeville (6A). These are the only 6A schools that Robinson will play against. For those that don't know, Warren County is also 6A, which is the classification for the largest schools in Tennessee.

Admittedly, it would have been fun to have seen the kid participate in the Rutherford county region (Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Siegel, Smyrna, & LaVergne) against those athletes week in and week out. We could have developed more clarity to his potential at the Division 1 level...

You're right. It's hard to measure someone that plays against low-level talent, and I'm willing to say that I could be wrong..... I'm just expressing MY opinion that Cody will be good.

There are a few things that are certain: he is a great student, high character, plays all-out, animal in the weight room. I know enough about football to know that this doesn't automatically equal success at UT. However, you'll be hard pressed to find a recruit that ranks high in all those categories. and to boot, he is a good player, considering the limited competition we have to judge him by.

I'm all for the kid if he is good enough. The more instate kids the better IF they are good enough. My problem is if there are questions about him and they play weak competition, then what would we say if he played strong competition. Warren County shouldn't be playing 3A teams like Dekalb County. They should be playing other 6A teams or 5A teams.

Shame on them for not scheduling tougher competition, i guess. Is that their fault, or is the scheduling out of their hands..... I know the TSSAA isn't much better than the NCAA

No, you're missing the point. UT has not offered, and likely will not offer (unless other line prospects do not commit or sign).

Then to disrespect Rutherford county and the quality of their high school football programs is ludicrous. A little research and you'll find more D1 scholarship players out of Rutherford county than you find from Coffee, Cumberland, Putnam, Warren, and White counties combined (the general football area that Robinson competes against).

I agree Robinson possesses D1 skills. There is no dispute there as the current D1 offers confirms his ability. But does he have the skills for the SEC? Right now, most of the SEC schools are silently (not offering a scholarship) saying, "No".

If signing day was tomorrow, I would expect Robinson to sign with Duke.

Dekalb Is 20 minutes away from WC why not play them. Ok then why does UT play
Play UTM?

Next week will be a big test vs Shelbyville. 6Aor 3A means nothing except for school size.
