'11 TN OL/DT Cody Robinson

I saw him play in the spring game. I wasn't at all impressed. I really believe he is overrated. However if we get him GREAT.

Spring game isn't all that great of an indicator. Kerbyson is legit talent.

We need more than 4 OL to get "a helluva class". CR is good IMO, but UT needs to shoot higher right now.

I agree.

Richardson, Posey, Kerbyson, Clear and maybe Cody Robinson. I'd love to switch Robinson with Hobbi though.

Edit i forgot Luatua/ Ryan Kelly

I am just saying that would be a good start. I disagree about CR I believe he would be a good pickup. I know their are some great OL out there but I believe Cody is the type of player you want when it's the 4th quarter 4th and goal against Florida. Just me

O, well ive never seen him, but i figured that with him being a close prospect that they would take him, but I would love to get Richardson,Hobbi(I don't think we do tho), Posey, Kerbyson, and Robinson plus a Center like Luatua. jmo...

Robinson is a physical, nasty player and dominated the one-on-one drills. He took reps at both guard and tackle but his size will likely dictate a move to guard in college. Duke, Memphis, Syracuse and Vandy are just a few who have offered.

"He has a great day," OL coach Erik Kaloyindes said. "You don't see many lineman who play as physical as Cody did but still have so much technique to their game. He has been well-coached and knows what he's doing out there."

IMO, Robinson is a better prospect than several OL guys we've already offered. While I don't think he's a 5* player, I believe he's a solid 4* with a combination of speed, power, and agility rivaled by very few prospects. Throw in excellent size, solid technique, and a mean streak and you have yourself a helluva guard, or maybe even a future DT.

“There is no doubt I grew up Orange and White,” Robinson said. “I’m very open to all of the great schools recruiting me and who have offered me. There are some great schools on my offer list.”

Exactly. If he grew up Orange and White and his relationship continues to grow with the coaches and he knows he'll be coached by one of the best in the bizz at his position I don't see him being nothing but a Vol come NSD.

Did he get an offer at camp? I really don't see him waiting around for UT if he continues to get offers from other schools. He is going to several camps this summer.

If UT offers, I think he will accept on the spot or shortly after. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't wait around for the offer. It's kind of a slap in the face. However, if he doesn't get an offer, I'm sure the staff has its reasons.
