'11 TN OL/DL Antonio Richardson

i am really comfortable with his (dooley) ability to recruit and build. i think that when he settles down and grasps the head coaching thing he will be very very solid

Interesting to know, BamaOnLine says that UA will take at least two OT in this class. It had been mentioned that they'd only take 1 and that spot would be reserved for Cyrus and if he didn't commit then AR. However, that doesn't seem to be the case, so it will definitely be a battle knowing that Saban has room for AR no matter what.

Talked to a guy who is good friends with Tiny's dad. Claims Tiny is literally 50/50 between UT and Bama. Loves UT's depth chart, but also loves that Saban has gone out of his way to recruit Tiny personally.

The guy also thinks that Antonio won't be a contributor for at least a couple years....needs lots of work on his aggressiveness/mean-streak. Doesn't dominate the way a kid his size should & the SEC will be a major jump for him.

Nothing ground-breaking, just passing it along.

Interesting. I don't like saban, but I look forward to a lot of Dooley/Saban battles on the field and on the recruiting front if Dooley can get this program competitive again.

Don't sell Saban short when it comes to selling the mommas and the daddies. Michael Oher's momma said Saban was the best in home recruiter they met. He just couldn't get Michael to Baton Rouge

and Fulmer almost pulled him our way... which was way more likely than him going to LSU.

If that tells you anything.

What a wuss.....
I questioned the legitimacy of this guy on this board two weeks ago, and nobody that seen him play in person would come out and say he was great. He has a nice YouTube vid, but then again, who doesn't.

I'm starting to sense a big bust. Anybody else have those feelings?

I would think more likely to be injury prone than bust. It could just be bad timing as of late. I think bust is kind of harsh.

Didnt he have a really good junior year? and camps over the summer? Not every year pans out to be the best one, injuries and all..

Good thing is we dont have to start him from day 1, we pretty much have both our tackle spots locked down for 2-3 more years. That will give Richardson time to work on things & let Wylie turn him into a BEAST.

seems like the way things are changing that most people forget this. it is such a good thing to be able to bring in guys (even highly rated guys) an let them sit a year or two to learn the system and grow and get stronger.

Have you ever had your shoulder dislocated? Let Antonio rip it out for you and see if you feel like filling in for him.
