'11 TN OL/DL Antonio Richardson

Bryant said Richardson and Wright went against each other in the 1on1 drills and that Wright beat him a few times. Said Richardson had a great camp though. Richardson's dad was sporting Vol gear.

Really liked the atmosphere today. Felt like he did good. Has always had good communication with our staff even before today. Can't wait til the AAA Game. Plans on going all the way to NSD '11.

Wright's going to be a monster.

So, LV , are we feeling any better about this kid donning the Orange next year a lot of folks think he is bama bound, any word from him yet about his experience at camp?

If the decision were up to you, would you prefer to have him OL or DL? I want to say DT because of his massive size. Not every day that an opposing QB would have to throw around a 6-6, 310 lbs. wall. He could be very disruptive in the middle. He and M. Hughes would be an awesome duo! However, we all know how thin we are at OL. To be honest, I don't care as long as we can get his autograph in February!

If you followed Stones recruitment any, it was the same way. He really liked bama too. Saban is a great salesman no doubt about it. The longer he holds out from committing, the better our chances are. I think he wants to see UT play a few games & form his own opinion. If we look to be headed in the right direction, it will help us out tremendously with this kid. Jmo.

The longer the battle for Richardson goes on, the more you have to like UTs chances. That Bama depth chart really starts to become a factor in January and February especially when they sign Cyrus this year too.

Agreed LV, also last year Alabama signed Arie and when they signed him it pretty much sealed the deal for us getting James Stone. Hopefully we'll get this kid.

I know guys get torched non-stop on here for saying stuff like I'm about to; however, I don't relate my value in life to internet approval so here goes nothing. One of his coaches came into the doctor's office I was at, and we talked about Richardson, and he said Tennessee and Coach Dooley already know Antonio will be a Vol. Said they knew he was in Tennessee's back pocket for some time now. Is just enjoying the recruiting game, and process. TIFWIW

Man, I hope he's telling the truth!! We need this guy!:good!:

I would tend to agree, I think ultimately based on everything that has been reported its going to be a Bama/UT battle and I'm not totally convinced it is as cut and dry as the earlier posted stated, but I sure as hell wish it was.

IMO comparing his recruitment to Stone is apples and oranges. Stone would have probably been committed to Tennessee earlier if not for his dislike for the previous staff. As soon as they were gone it seemed to open things up a lot with Stone. Again, JMO, but Stone liking Bama so much earlier in the process last year seems more a result of his opinion of our staff at the time.

not that i dont value your opinion cody, but i was looking for the opinion of someone who watches lots of film on these guys and is "in the know"

I think he is good enough to start here as a frehman but I dont think that he is good enough to start at Bama. If he went to Bama this year he would most likely not even be their best lineman in the class much less one of the best on the team. Us on the other hand have a very young inexperience line so we would most likely not even have a definate starting 5 going into this upcoming offseason so I think that he would have a better chance to start here.

stop acting like im a moron. i realize that Bama's line is much more experienced than our line, and i realize that they have bigger fish being reeled in. regardless, i dont care whether he could start at bama or not (and a 4 year old could realize that he couldnt). i am talking about UT. and i understand that you think he could start at UT, but i want the opinion of someone who has watched his film. thank you.

I have watched his film and I think that he has the talent to start at Tennessee. I dont know what you are trying to find out. Im just giving my opinion and thats what your going to get from everyone else too. You didnt ask a specific person what they thought you just asked a question and I answered it. No one in here knows for a fact if he will start or not if they did then they would be coaches. You also never asked if he could start at a certain place either.
