'11 TN OL/DL Antonio Richardson

I still think we're in good shape with him. We have got to stay on him though. Constantly tell him about the open spots on the OL.

Golden Tate anyone?

I wouldn't worry just yet about Richardson. We heard the same things about Stone up until the last week until NSD. We kept hearing how ND and Bama both liked their chances with him and that UT is an afterthought. I like Chaney handling his recruitment and the need we have on the OL. Also I like that Carlos Younger, Brent Hubbs, and Buck Fitzgerald all think we will end up signing him come next February.

I've been told here lately that Alabama is the team to beat for Richardson. His dad is really pushing the Tide.

I was told by one of his former coaches that Alabama is the team to beat.

And someone posted yesterday that Notre Dame is in great standing. A lot of people think Tennessee leads. I wouldn't get to excited till he announces his decision.

You're right. It's going to be a wild ride with him until the end. I think he is a must get for our program at this point.

Richardson didnt go to a catholic school like Golden.

Close.

Richardson attends Ensworth which is an elite academic high school.

I don't know how strong ND is for Richardson but given the HS he attends I wouldn't discount them at all.

If Richardson was smart he would look at the 3OT's already committed to ND if early playing time is really one of his big factors IMO.

I don't think he's worried about that mainly because he's better than the 3OTs that they have committed.
