'11 TN OL/DL Antonio Richardson

nah, USC all the way. At Cal you are likely to have a conversation about fair trade coffee before the party starts, at UCLA well... depends on your "flavor" since it's not called University of Caucasians Lost among Asians for a reason, and at USC you have barbie dolls.

That sounds like high maintenance to me. You might want to talk to Ken first. It doesn't mater how hot the chick is there is always a dude that is tired of it.

yeah, but if I'm going to be tired or something, I'd rather it be a souther california girl

Washington will not be as great as people think.

Because he committed to AL and our staff had no clue about him?

These we the same things being said when Stone was thought to be bama bound, he commits to UT, he's all of a sudden all world and a future 1st rounder. Take your orange goggles off for a second...

...who said that?

...who said that?

Not an exact quote from anyone, but more a representation of the overall impression given by some of our homer fans with respect to Stone after he spurned the tide for our Vols.

I don't think Stone is all he's cracked up to be. He got dominated at UTs camp and at the UA game. I expect Fulton to be alot better.

I don't think Washington is all he's cracked up to be. We will be able to find a CB just as good with half the work imo.

I stuck by what i said. I would have rather had Green, Coleman, and even Robinson.

All I'm saying is understand when bama/opposing fans bases see comments like, "he's not that good...", and it's not backed up substantial first hand accounts to base your opinion on, it comes off as sour grapes because he's a tennessee kid committing to bama.

Idk i thought the general vibe was happy because we got a good Tenn prospect (and maybe we would have preferred him over others because he was from Tenn) but didnt think he was as good as many like Colman or Robinson.

Now you do see this quite often.

Yes but would you not agree that seemingly over night he became a better player in orange than in crimson as many had previously anticipated?

For being UT's#1 fan you sure are ignorant. Dooley and Joseph knew who Washington was, they also obviously knew he was already a heavy bama/lsu lean so they didn't waste too much time on him. The guy isn't the second coming of Berry or anything. Get over it.

Well sure, anyone would really, but Stone will be serviceable (sp) and can only get better with time... give these kids a chance BEFORE throwing them under the bus!

I have a friend who teaches at the school that Richardson goes to, I believe its Ensowrth.

He told me it is a UT-Bama battle and that the positive note is "Tiny" is very pro tennessee right now. He'd say it is 60/40 UT

Cool man...good to know!

IMO...Richardson and Kerbyson are priority #1a and 1b on our board...

In fact I would say they are such a priority that the next biggest priority should be given a #5 label...cause that's how big the gap in importance is...

Two highly rated players, both in-state, one right in our backyard the other a stone's throw away, both play the biggest position of need for us....yeah....I don't think it's even close with the next biggest priority

FYP. DT still trumps.

Respectfully disagree...we are so thin at OL and there are more spots that have to be filled (5 vs. 2, or even 1 if we go 3-4) so OL has to be #1...

But DL is defintely #2...probably followed by LB then QB then S

I recently started doing film evaluations for this site. I am a Notre Dame fan and have been working for ND for about three years now doing prospect evaluations and game breakdowns. I saw some of the comments concerning James Stone in this thread and in others. I'm surprised that UT fans are not more excited about this young man.

Last year when ND was recruiting Stone I did a film evaluation on him. A few things standout. One, Stone is VERY raw and needs alot of coaching. Two, Stone is extremely athletic. Three, Stone has a tremendous frame. Four, his upside is as high as any OL in the country. I genuinely believed that then and I believe that now. Stone is a big time boom or bust guy b/c he is simply so raw, but his athletic skills are top notch. He's one of those players who was a solid HS prospect but has a chance to emerge as a dominant college player.

If your OL coach can get this kid coached up and your S&C coach is worth anything Stone will turn out to be one of the best, if not the best, players in your class last year. His upside is that good IMO.

My two cents.

Bryan
