'11 TN OL/DL Antonio Richardson

It's a Mississippi River city, which means culturally it's more similar to Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas than East Tennessee.

No excuses. We should still make our presence known in that area. Memphis IS a TN city and we should make it abundantly clear to the city that the place to be is in Knoxville for football...and basketball!

The best way to recruit Memphis is to win on the field against the rivals

So is Richardson a 5 star...per Rivals...type of talent?

If not...is he a high 4 star type?

Probably a high 4* b/c rivals analysts don't think too highly of middle TN HS football.

Chris Donald definitely didn't help AR's case for a 5th *

Rivals has not ranked him yet. Espn has him on their 150 watchlist. You can look there, they aren't individually ranked , but he is one of maybe 15-20 ot included? So could be four star, at worst three star. But that might change as they really eval the class now.

I would say he starts out at a 4 star. IMO the only way another TN HS athlete is going to get it is if they dominate at one of the other HS all star games (US Army or UA). Rivals wont do it because of Chris Donald. They went purely off of tape and measureables and it came back and bit them in the butt.

I remember Bo Wallace was going to be a 4 star, Jake Heaps was going to be the #1 overall player in the country, Keiwone Malone was going to be the top WR prospect in the South...

I watched that game, was a good game and I remember thinking Ensworth was going to be down this year because Oakland played them so close. I was wrong needless to say.

Antonio is for real...don't worry about that...

They miss on prospects every year, from every state. Rivals doesn't rank Tennessee players based off of Chris Donald. You are a fool if you really think that.

Now because of the way talent is in Tennessee he will probably be a 4 star, but he has the potential to be a 5.

this kid is a muscular freak of nature.... should def be top 3 in-state talent next year
TN needs to be all over him and get him committed asap like they did with J. Smith last year

Watch out for Vandy. Seriously. Roc Batten played at Vandy and is an influential coach for Ensworth.

I dont know his current status but his father gave acedemics as the main reason for transferring to Ensworth. They didnt think he would be able to get into a Div I program with his grades from Mt. Pleasant. His grades would have to vastly improve to get into Vandy.

Just from knowing him I seriously doubt he'll be at Vandy...it'll probably end up being Alabama/LSU/Tennessee

Struggle at Mt. Pleasant so you transfer to a top private school?

I dont know AR personally but I am a former MP graduate...And I wont pretend to know the story...I saw him play as a freshman and the young man was just an absolute beast...He dominated the opposition everytime he got on the field...He didnt play OL, he was strictly playing the nose tackle/defensive tackle position...And he was awesome...now on to the story...I believe that seeing former 2 time Single A Mr. Football Marco Daily struggle with his grades, which hurt him getting recruited, AR decided it was best for him to transfer to Ensworth where he could get the teaching of a more prestigous school than MP...And I would not hate on him for that...And obviously it has worked...I dont know his grades situation, but I believe from what I have heard, he is a great student...here is where he said which he would rather play in a Q & A session...

Which do you like playing more, offense or defense? Which would you rather play in college?

I love playing defense way more than offense. I would rather play defense in college.

As a defensive lineman, are you more comfortable stuffing the run or getting in the backfield?

I am comfortable stuffing the run and getting in the backfield. I can do either one. It's just a thing of being in good condition. Playing both sides of the ball with not much rest can be tiring at times.

BTW, where is Marco Dailey now? I live in Columbia and went to some of the MP games for a while when they had that really good run for a few years.

He went to a Community College in Kansas after he graduated from MP...I think it was called Indepedence...But have not heard anything recently...Its ashamed b/c that young man was a football player!

I also live in Columbia now!
