It's way too early to care about this kids recruitment. Way too much time before he actually commits or gets serious about it. We need to focus on the '10 class and close hard. The '11 kids will come.

No, actually this is the perfect time to be building relationships with recruits. Around their Sophomore years is the best starting point.

Actually heard from a coach that was at their camp not so long ago that he liked BAMA alot. Said he talked to him personally dont know if any of it is true. Just asking.

Is he from Ensworth?

Transferred there for his sophomore year (2008-09), so he was ineligible for that year. So yes, he plays for Ensworth, he just hasn't played any snaps for them in an actual game yet.

From talking to him, it seemed like LSU, Alabama and Tennessee (not necessarily in that order) were the schools he mentioned most. But keep in mind that this was in like May 2009...that could change a TON by 2011 Signing Day.

Not that it matters, but he actually couldn't play last year because his former principle wouldn't sign his forms that would have allowed him to play.

That too. But he would have missed a good portion of the season anyway because you have to wait a full year...I think the principal thing only made a difference for our playoff games and maybe the last one or two regular season ones.

The next John Henderson is pushing it big-time.

He's a very good prospect though.

From what I've been told LSU and Tennessee are probably his top 2 schools with LSU probably in the driver's seat early on.

Way to go Mt. Pleasant. Don't sign the waiver and get the publicity of failing to help students achieve minimum requirements to attend D-1 schools. This coach should be ran out of town. If he wants to go to a private school he has every right. This was not a public vs. public. This is the most selfish move that a coach can make. I will forever root against Mt. Pleasant.

I agree. Seemed like a low-class, selfish move to force a kid to sit out a year.

I can kind of understand the situation. At this point in time, Mt. Pleasant is pretty much a poor suburb of Columbia (which is no jewel itsself) and most of the families in that area who have any resources have been sending thier kids to BGA in Franklin for generations. You get this once-in-a-lifetime freak of nature who is going to put your podunk school on the state playoffs map for four years and make everyone in town feel a little better about themselves and, whosh, in steps what is percieved as a monied, upstart private school with a mercenary strategy for gaining instant success in athletics and takes it all away from you. The principal was in a very uncomfortable position, and my guess would be that he had alot of input from the community on this decision. It seems like everything is working out for the best, so this should probably be chalked up in the alls-well-that-ends-well column.

BTW, anyone know if Hottytoddyvol is on the Ole Miss roster?

VKAMan and I went to school with him, he is ridiculous and I've been back for a few games. He is going to be very very good wherever he ends up going.

Unless its Jackson Nuismer no. (And he walked on)

]My friend from New Orleans apparently gave him a signed Glenn Dorsey jersey, so when he's around Antonio says he likes LSU[/B]. Wouldn't put much stock into that, though.

Also, his goal was to bench 405 by the end of his sophomore year and I'm pretty sure he reached it.

If this guy that gave him a signed LSU jersey has ever been a season ticket holder, this could be a violation.
