You always need good kickers, so I'd take him as long as he understands that Michael Palardy is going to be starter for the next four years.

Not if he out kicked him in practice....just saying...anything is possible

Not saying we should take him but he would add depth and competition to the position. It looks like his stock may be going up and he could be one of the top kickers in the nation.

Would be great depth, as long as he is ok with the competition. Who knows he might be the next Palardy. DOH

Unless he can punt the ball 60yds+ consistently, he ain't Palardy. Watched him at kicking camp the other day and OMG! Punting out the back of the end zone to the opposing 40yd liine in the air. Had to be 4.5 -5 sec hang time...ball in the air forever! WOW. He can angle punt and put it into a 8 by 8 yd box. I was standing nearby when the punting coach was talking to his father. He said he has a NFL leg right now. He is still 17 yrs old per his dad! Nobody at that camp, some of the best kickers and punters in Florida, comes even close and he makes it look easy. He will be kicking this Wed. with my son and they will be working on KOs and FG. I'll let you know how he does.

If Palardy ends up being punter and KO specialist maybe Sharp becomes the place kicker. Probably just depends on their performance and development. I wouldn't mind having the additional depth, but not sure we can afford to put a kicker on scholly this year with the depth issues at all of the other positions where we don't have the #1 kid at their position coming in to lock it down.

I would gladly take him as a walk-on, but there's no need to use a scholarship on him with Palardy on the roster.

ST's can win games. Bama game for instance. I wouldn't overlook him. Everyone relies on Palardy, but isn't that pretty much all we have?

My thoughts exactly you always have to think about injuries. We have 2 senior kickers this year. We cant go into next year with just one. Can we? We have a walk also not sure what year he is.

Yeah my post was TIC. Palardy is easily my fav recruit from last year, and definently one of the most important.

Watched Palardy kick off and kick field goals...makes it look easy! He was kicking off with a 25mph cross wind and was hitting the ball anywhere from the 5yd line to 7 yards deep in the EZ. That is basically to the goal line or in the back of or out of the end zone without wind. What a freakin' leg. Field goals the same. Hitting 50 yd FG with a stiff cross wind. Looking forward to seeing him boot them at Neyland.
