'11 TN ATH Willie Carmichael

He going to Kansas not Fork Union.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

I was speaking hypothetically. Obviously no one knows where he is going or what he is going to do yet because he hasn't publicly made his decision. But Hubbs has stated that it is UT's plans to place Carmichael at Fork Union. He also stated that it isn't a done deal yet, but there is a great chance he ends up at Fork Union for a year so UT can re-recruit him for the 2012 class. I was just relaying what is being said by the experts. If you know something they don't then please do share.

I edited my last post. He's going to Fork Union of he maintains the B avg he currently has in English. He has to make the 2.0 core to get in

EDIT
He's going to Fork Union if he gets a 2.0 for his core. He's got a B right now and has to maintain it. if he doesn't get the B in English he'll go to Coffey. Be they way. they are currently checking out the dorms right now .

Ok thanks MiramarVol. Just saw your edit. That makes much more sense. I understand the plan would be for him to go to Fork Union if his grades are in order for that. That's all I was saying.

But you seem very close to him and/or his recruitment. So please update us with any news if you don't mind. I know I would really appreciate it.

He'll go to Coffey if he doesn't finish with the B in English. TJ, KR and WC are looking at the dorms now.

"Whichever is best for me," Carmichael said. "If I get my classwork done this semester then I should be (at Fork Union). It shows me that I shouldn't have goofed off as a freshman and sophomore. It's too late now, but I think I've grown up and seen what I can do. I'm ready for next year so I can get to Tennessee."

"I feel like I'm just an athlete," Carmichael said. "Whatever the coaches want me to do then I'm going to do whatever they need me to do. I think I can play on both sides of the ball. If I play defense then I'm going to do my best to get the ball in my hands because I love to score and be in the end zone."

Thought it was interesting the article stated he will either end up at Fork Union Academy or Georgia Military Academy. I thought MiramarVol said it would be Fork Union or Kansas JUCO. Oh well. Regardless of where he goes or ends up I like the attitude of this kid. He said he realized he might of messed around too much his freshmen and sophomore years in the classroom, and now he is having to pay for it. I like that he is now working hard in the classroom and has his sights set on playing for UT. Carmichael said he was always a UT fan growing up and it would be his dream to play for UT. Hopefully he is a part of our 2012 class because he is explosive with the ball in his hands. Has been recorded at 4.38 laser timed in the 40. Would be a great athlete here.

Anyway, I would like to hear any additional information from MiramarVol about Carmichael if he has any. Seems to be very much in the know with his recruitment.

You seem well informed on the situation. Great news. Hope he does end up a Vol on 2012. I know the coaches will have a spot waiting for him. Thanks for the information.

I noticed Willie is sitting basketball out to work on his grades, but will he suit up for baseball or track? I was looking forward to some hardball this season.

if he gets in prep school he will be a db if he goes to georgia military he be a wr and return kicks. He will sign with georgia military on signing day and if he is eligible for prep school when he graduates he will just go to prep school instead of his loi to go to georgia military. right now he stays 2.5 hours everyday after school studying his books and training for the act test. I think he will do whatever it takes to get into fork union

dont know yet barb he has not been practicing with the baseball team and them boys be working out and throwing and hitting everyday. I think it all just depends on how things are going in the classroom he has to maintain a in english for that is a hard subject for him if he fells comfortable i think he run track before he plays baseball.
