Tino gets after them and takes them down.

BTW BB, I saw your boy ZR do that last year after an INT. Kid was one of the furthest away from making the play, bee-lined at speed and took the guy down hard from behind while the rest of the team was running around one way and another. He didn't look intimidated or discouraged on that play.

The by all means they need to flip Mr Frying Pan hands over to defense.

He's useless on offense.

If we ever, ever play a WR because he's good at running down a defender who just intercepted the ball, we are totally f***ed.

BB, that's not logic you're using, and I got no campaign for hero going. As a matter of fact, I took up for ZR last year in conversations like this and ended up disappointed during the season...with a lot of players. I'd see one player, maybe the QB, make a bad play. Then the other team's defense would make a good play at or behind the LOS, making it time for everyone on the offense to do their job and get the first down. Then...a WR would drop a perfectly good pass. That has to change this year, with all our players on offense.

Sorry folks, I was talking about Tino, when somebody tried to tell me what I am. Just one of those things.

Word on VQ is that Brewer is going to get moved to OLB. Has a lot to do with Orta and Tino's ability at Safety. They're both being looked at as Safeties/nickelbacks right now.

That's all well and good and I for one would love to see this happen but how are they measuring Orta's and Tino's physicality and health of their shoulders at this point. Sunseri requires his safeties to be very physical at the point of attack?

I remember Orta being really physical prior to injuring his shoulder and realize he's had a yr on campus to rehab it and Tino has had a year to do the same but I don't remember Tino being physical but fast and rangy.

I think Tino is being looked at more as a CB. While Orta is a fast safety. I also have a feeling that they think Brewer isn't a good safety(I don't have any confidence in him either) and would be a better fit at LB. I would expect B.Moore to be lined up at safety too.

Yes to this

Would love to see Brewer at LB. He's a head hunter but kind of stiff at times.

I agree. Brewer was caught out of position a lot last year and is a little slow with his reactions.

Tino Thomas -- Thomas has been playing safety during camp and has a long ways to go in learning Sal Sunseri's complicated defense. Thomas physically, looks like someone who can help this team and has the speed as well. He just needs to continue to stay in the playbook.
