Is solid, but still has yet to talk to Dooley. Which doesnt suprise me.

As of right now I'm committed," he said. "I'm just waiting to talk to Coach Dooley to see if he wants me. Everything my father is saying is that if he is anything like his father then great things will happen at Tennessee.

"I haven't talked to him yet, but I plan to go up there for the Kentucky basketball game on February 27th to meet with him and find out more."

MacLain is clearly sticking by the Volunteers and gave his take on what he likes about Tennessee still.

"I just like the proximity to home," he said. "I lived there for nine years and most of my family lives there. It just is the feel of Rocky Top on Saturdays. The tradition of the football team."

"We are set up to come over for the Kentucky basketball game on the 27th," MacLain said. "That's Tennessee junior day and it will be the first time talking to coach Dooley. I am looking forward to meeting and talking to him."

"I am still committed to Tennessee and will stay that way unless coach Dooley and his staff no longer want me," MacLain said. "My dad and I have talked and we are going to see how things go at Tennessee in two weeks and will decide whether on not anything is going to change in my recruitment."

Hopefully we can stabilize the line for years to come with this past class and this one..

I like the idea of moving HS tight ends to tackle. A lot of the more recent top NFL tackle prospects came in as HS tight ends (Jason Smith last year, Joe Thomas and Robert Gallery a few years back). I think you get more athletic guys at the position that way.

This will be an important first impression to make for Dooley. It will be good to lock up a highly rated prospect this early (like JSmith Last Year) to help recruit at all the camps over the summer.

I also like converting DL guys over to OL. It would be nice to be loaded up on DL to be able to do that but that's not the case for us. I would see why Dooley wouldn't want MacLain. This kid will be solid player at the next level.

Yeah, always good to have that nasty streak in Olinemen. Doesn't always happen when the guys been an Olineman his whole life.

IMO he will reaffirm his commitment on junior day. He just has to meet the new staff. :)

Why hasn't the staff shown him any interest? He's our only commit, that's horrible not to even give him a call and invite him up to Junior Day.
