I wouldn't count this kid in till NSD because of the way he is...but I would love for UT to pull him away from Clemson.

Pat Martin Safety who seems to infatuated with Tennessee and seems to be a lock to commit to us seems to be recruiting for us as well... Lateek asked him if he was going to be at UT tuesday because lateek is visiting and Pat gave him his number and told him to come check it out with him.
This is great and Pat seems to be a Corey Miller type by helping recruit.

Lateek Townsend should not be paid attention to until NSD. He already committed to Clemson once publicly and denied it, he just goes back and forth with the flavor of the week.

Yeah I know. I meant the people on here that browse these kids pages on Facebook take every comment they make to other teenagers and do all they can to put a pro-UT spin on it. Such as the case with this kid. Its obvious he isnt high on Tennessee.

Yeah, well Montrell, it's all part of the fun. I enjoy it and it brings a little fun into my otherwise boring life. Lateek is playing the recruiting game and there really is no telling where he will land. I would think we would absolutely be within his top 5 (if we are not already) after a couple of days on campus and with pat. :hi:

you can find the truth more on facebook than recruiting articles imho.

he is pretty high on Tennessee. i don't think we lead or anything, but we are definitely in it.

I respect your opinion Montrell, but what is obvious about Lateek not having legitimate interest in the Vols? I thought it was fairly obvious he did? Maybe I am missing something.

pat martin told me that lateek was very high on UT. said he wouldnt be suprised to see a commitment very soon because they are camping together. so im not basing it off of only public comments.

This kid may in fact be pretty high on Tennessee. This is what recruiting has become. Not all Rivals articles are accurate, and not everything you read on FB is accurate.

But don't we think we should temper ourselves a bit based on what Pat Martin says since he's still not technically a UT commitment? I mean he's going to bat for us pretty well apparently in the recruiting game but a non-committed recruit would still not be on my highest shelf of recruiting credibility.

Well, I just *now* read the Pat Martin thread for updates and see where even Jhop is on the Martin to UT train.

While that's great, I *still* think we should relax a bit on what recruits tell other recruits. They like to change their mind and they end up with friends at like 10 universities so they enjoy the process.

MH seems to be the most realistic poster on here. That being said, Lateek has to be one of the top targets for us in this class. We need a couple of playmakers at LB in this class.
