“Some people thought I committed and it was really just a big misunderstanding,” said Lateek Townsend. “I never did commit to anyone even though everyone thought I committed to Clemson. It wasn’t Clemson or anyone else, but even if I would have committed, it might not have been to Clemson. I am looking at a lot of schools, the process is a long one, and I am going to take my time.”

“I want to get out to Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia to check them out,” he said. “I am looking at everyone, but those are three I definitely want to visit.”

Per Scout... Sounds good.

I don't know anything about this kid. The only thing I liked about Chavis was his ability to convert fast RBs to linebackers. This guy seems to have good speed but not Tennessee Linebacker Speed.

Shuttle times are more appropriate when judging LB's...

his offer list...

He is taking the Florida spring game visit over Clemson and USC. Florida is currently his #1. Clemson is 2nd as of right now then Alabama, USC, Tenn, in no particular order

Also, USC has stopped recruiting Lateek. He did not catch interest in our camps. Florida and Clemson are making the major pushes right now

Interesting... where are the chumps that were saying DD wasn't in on any of the better recruits? Seems like several have mentioned UT along side Bama and UF like this recently.

Kudos to Clemson too... they seem to be on the breath of a lot of very good recruits.

I'd say USCe best make good on their opportunity this year to win the East. It is the best one they've had in years or probably will have for years. Otherwise, things could get tough. UT will make a strong push into SC and Clemson could become the preferred destination for kids that want to stay in state.

Yeah, USCe typically throws in the towel once a prospect's offer list reaches a certain number or certain level of prestigious offers. :)

this guy plays for same h.s. that Robert Ayers came from. It's only like 10 min. from my house I'll have to go watch the Bulldog (bennetsville) whip my Scots (scotland Co.)
