We came in a little late on this one. The Gamecocks have a huge lead and alot of current Gamecocks are from the same area.

Also this could be one of the best classes for USCe to ever sign especially with instate kids, but if they do not do well in the fall they will see alot of them leave state.

I would NEVER count out Chuck Smith.

That is until he actually starts recruiting and proves he can recruit.

But yea until then dont count him out.

Highly unlikely but there is a chance he could not be a good recruiter.

What has Chuck Smith done?
(Seriously, i dont know.)

Played DL at UT...All SEC

58 career sacks and pro bowl selection for Falcons

Ran Defensive Lineman Inc. he trained Haynesworth, Usi, Henderson, English, Ray Lewis, Richard Seymour and many more (60 total) that are playing DL in the NFL

DL coach at Jets

and he said this

"I feel like this is my destiny," Smith said. "...I think I know how to teach this generation. I've learned a lot and I know I can coach players to protect the run, but also beat the hell out of quarterbacks."

Bama is in front of Florida at this point. This is still so early that anything could happen. He is very strong on us and if we're lucky it will stay that way. But all Saban has to do is bring up tradition and all Meyer has to do is "have a dream" about him to change things.
We have to maintain the lead we have with him to get him to commit to us.

But no Vols on here think we can pull in Nationally top rated prospects, right?

Its not like we have Alshon Jeffrey, Stephon Gilmore, or Marcus Lattimore in the last 2 recruiting seasons

 us silly gamecocks, huh?

Its going to be a long hard road. But being a South Carolinian I want to see him go where he wants to be and thinks he will be an asset to. Even if its not USC

No Vol fans know ya'll can pull a top prospect or two, we are just convinced you guys can't be relevant to anything! Vol fans, gator fans, bammer fans, georgia fans, and pretty well everyone else is sure of that to! Most importantly history and tradition agrees that you guys have never mattered! :good!:

aww fellas dont hate because we consistently have top "national" players each year in our state out of HS. I mean, South Carolina can't be too bad when Jawga, Florida, and Tenn. keep dippin' in our talent-aid (see what I did there?)

If you only knew that SoCal had to get the rights to share USC from us back in the early 80s, then your posts with USCjr and USCe wouldn't look so funny to me.

Just remember these things. Its kinda weird how things like this get forgotten. But if it weren't for our kindness and professionalism, SoCal would still just be SoCal
