Flowers, who was honorable mention all-county in 2009, is garnering interest from Miami, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas and Southern California. He is considered a 4.5 star recruit.

Physically he has all the tools to be a top flight prospect. College coaches will love his height and athleticism. Hakeem is also a track star and he shows that speed on the football field as well, especially considering his long stride and top end speed. Should he get more touches in his junior season and he continues to develop at his current pace we're comfortable with projecting him in the upper echelon of prospects in the state for 2011.

The Class of 2011 standout is now holding over 30 scholarship offers. Miami-FL, LSU, Tennessee and Florida State are among his early favorites.

As a junior, he posted 800 receiving yards, 250 rushing yards and scored eight touchdowns.

Flowers registered a 4.69 40-yard dash on a slow surface, 33-inch vertical and 4.5 20-yard shuttle at the 2010 National Under Armour Combine in Orlando.

They're evaluating him. I thought Clemson was too. Some people have questioned his measurables.

He played at Wade Hampton High School in a wing-T offense so that holds his numbers down. There is talk of him transferring to Byrnes High School (home of Corey Miller, Brandon Willis and Marcus Lattimore

Wade Hampton's Hakeem Flowers (6-2,173) has made the camp circuit this last year and milked it for offers with his performances. He may be recruited on either side of the ball or as an "athlete" but for now, we're leaving him listed at wide receiver.

His team might have been a Wing-T, but they found ways to get him the ball in space.

Doesn't look as fast as Washington.

The pass he threw off the reverse was nice.
