'11 NC RB Romar Morris

I just watched one of the vids on him and he seems to have good speed and is elusive.... Does he play good competition?

I have seen this kid in some highlights from Football Friday Night out of Charlotte and he can dig. He gets to the outside quickly and once he gets a little daylight hes gone. Im no expert, but from what I have seen he looks really raw on the field. He will probably need a little time to learn how to play running back or scatback in the SEC.

Davie County(4a) still in the playoffs.West Rowan(3a) has the nations longest winning streak. He has 139 - 1,524 - 24 TDS(rushing stats) not counting last weaks game.If they win friday they will be playing for a state championship.

Morris is one of my favorite players in this years class. He's a speedster as you all can tell by his times. He's a homerun threat from anywhere on the field at anytime. What separates Romar from the rest of the pack is his hands. The kid can catch like a WR. I talked to his High School coach yesterday and he said Romar was solid to UNC at this time but he might take a few officials after the season.

Rogers is a solid KR but there are multiple players in this class that the staff has pursued as not only their position but returning as well. You can't deny Young, Arnett, Dallas, and Thomas' speed.

Is this our best shot at another RB, considering he's the mold that we are looking for? I would think so considering we've fallen off a bit with Bellamy, Bigelow, etc.

IMO he is the best shot at RB, but Bigelow is down to Cal & UT. Were still a factor there but I think he goes to Cal.

jmoore, do you know of a timetable for the backs we are in for and when they are supposed to make a decision? (Bellamy, Bigelow, and Morris)

I like Romar's highlights. Reminds me of Quentin Griffin, formerly of Oklahoma and Denver Broncos. Small, Quick, good vision, good hands, good in motion as a reciever. However, I don't see "blazing" speed indicated by his 100m time. Guess that is just the difference between fast and football fast. I would love to have either him or Bigelow. But obviously, as I think most the board agrees, a healthy Bigelow is the best back...
