I wish Justin Hunter was in town to get in his ear about being a track star and football player.

"North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Tennessee are my final three teams in no order," Morris said. "I am going to go up to Penn State before I make my decision because they are ready to offer a scholarship and I want to give them a look."

I didn't realize Morris' offer list was so impressive until today.

With Hayes likely to ND, we probably have a good shot here.

What's your feeling on this one LV, I haven't really heard much about him but we keep making the cuts with him so we are at the point where I am thinking we have a very good shot.

I'd rather have Hayes, but we aren't getting him.

At least this guy seems to have SEC speed. Maybe if we get him we luck out and he turns into the next Dexter McCluster.

I don't think anyone from TN would ever complain with that!

He also has a very nice offer list. Surprising to see he's only a 3-star. Any chance he gets a 4th, LV?

Everybody has a shot.

You can't go by this to the letter obviously, but in the past 3 classes, there have been 7, 15, and 13 4star All-Purpose Backs.

There are already 6 4star APBs and Morris currently ranks 10th and has a better offer list than 2 guys ahead of him.

There are still around 70 4stars and 15 5stars to be handed out (on average).

Seems like he would have a fairly decent shot.

Nice. I'm not a big "star-gazer" guy, but I just like our guys to be highly rated for the sole purpose that a highly-rated class looks better and creates more recruiting momentum for the next year.

Regardless of him moving up in the star category, I still think he has a lot of potential. These hybrid APB, slot guys are a popular type of player these days (guessing b/c many spread offenses these days). I actually agree with SGM that he would remind me of a McCluster type of player. If anyone watched that game, I'm sure that they would have rather seen him in Orange.

I was watching camp today. One coach had 2 RB"s working them out today. Not sure who they were. They were quick, but small.

i don't have enough posts to start a thread, i usually just read but... Barry Sanders Jr. 2012, vols in top 3. I know its very early but..

Yes, Barry Sanders son. And yes, he is a beast.

"I have seven offers at this point and all seven are good programs. But the three that stand out are Oklahoma State, Notre Dame and Tennessee."

The Buckeye Times: THE WHOLE NINE — HERITAGE HALL (OKLA) RB BARRY SANDERS JR.

I highly, highly suggest you watch the highlights. If nothing more just for entertainment. The linked highlights are from his freshman and sophomore years. The first play in the video was him as a freshman in the state championship game. It's one of the best highlights from a RB i've seen in a while, regardless of age.

That thread has been made for months and that info is in it.

I think LV said in another thread that he's supposed to commit sometime in August.

We could realistically see Downs, Crowder, Martin, Coleman, Kerbyson, and Morris all commit relatively soon. That'd be nice for recruiting momentum.

Thought Morris was a UNC lean?
