Regarding his speed, Pickett ran the 40 in 4.32 and 4.41 at a Shrine Bowl combine last April. At a couple of combines earlier in the year, with at least one of those held in cold and rainy conditions, he recorded 4.51 times at both events. Mike Bellamy ran a 4.50 at one of those combines.

Pickett is not an elite sprinter but he's plenty fast enough. He's also incredibly strong for his size w/ a top bench press of 325 and squat of 545.

You don't understand. If other staffs and the recruiting svcs miss a kid... they simply can't be any good.

I trust our coaches, I just hate feeling like we're settling because bigger targets are looking elsewhere.

Didn't know if anyone posted this yet?

"He said he's talked to a few coaches on Tennessee's staff and they just saw his senior filmed and really liked it and they told him now they just need to talk it over and decide whether or not to offer.

The dead period is over tomorrow so he's hoping to hear something by the end of this week. We'll have a story on him here in a little bit but it looks like he may be the next running back target."

"I talked to them and my coaches have been talking to them before and right now they had my film from my sophomore year and they just got my senior year film and they loved and that I should be hearing back from them," Pickett said. "They said they were going to offer me they just said they needed to meet with the offensive coordinator or head coach and they said I should be hearing back from them in the next few days."

"I was there the last year Kiffin's staff was there and that's when actually Kiffin offered me," Pickett said. "I guess when it comes to the campus I had a great feel for it and the facilities were really nice, probably the nicest ones I've seen. My parents loved it and I just hope that I end up getting this offer."

I wasnt very impressed by his film but then again I'm not that good at evaluating high school athletes.

Did like his ability to get open but wasn't impressed with his running, might be an option as a recieving back in the playbook.

Al Bundy had 4 TD's in one game once. Didn't mean he was worth an offer.

Not overly impressed. But my opinion really doesn't matter, comes down to what the coaches think.
