Lanier supposedly wanted to enroll for the spring semester and in order to do so he had to sign by today the 15th...so hes either signed here or at ole miss already unless he changed his mind and isnt going to enroll for the spring semester wherever he chooses or he could be waiting up until the last minute.

No, JUCO EE's could start signing today they didnt have to sign today. They have from Dec 15-Jan 8th (I Think) to sign with a school.

He would be stupid to go to Ole Miss. Seriously, that would be the worst mistake. Nutt is mediocre at best, the possibility of being gone by his Jr or Sr year and that program is never going to rise while we're beginning to rise and just need a few pieces in place, like one or two Juco DB's, and success will be prominent with this program again. I wish nothing but the best for him, but between UT and Ole Miss, UT would be without question. He would be in the two deep from day one and could really be a part of something special during his time here.

Quick question, if he wants to still come to UT and not be an EE do we still take him? I have a feeling we won't land this guy now.

i think they would still take. they want the two Juco DBs very badly.

the risk is will either get in next August or not. IMO, Juco's that take until summer are 50-50 to meet their requirements. Much easier to go to another conference for most of them.

If he was on track to be an EE and decided just not to do so wouldn't he still be on track to qualify and enroll in the summer?

I don't why he is not coming early but I'm guessing, not ready.. don't think it has to do with deciding against coming in early. I'm just guessing at that.

checked out what Hubbs said and it does appear he doesn't have what he needs for early entry..

Wow it seems we have lost alot of the recruiting momentum that we had as little as a week ago. Hope we can seize it back.

Very suprising news to me...coaches must be worried about his grades because I had heard he was a lock to sign soon.

Or maybe I am just a dummy.

2 weeks ago Hubbs said he had no grade concerns & thats why all those schools came in late, now all of a sudden he has grade concerns? Makes no sense.
