The fact that he is still determined to visit Ole Miss after a visit to Knoxville does not bode well at this stage of the game. Ole Miss will put the press on him this weekend and could come out with a commitment.

allow me to provide a possible scenario: Dooley and staff would NOT accept his commitment until he takes his visit to Ole Miss. This allows more time for someone higher on the board (such as Moore) to commit, and if that happens then I don't see Lanier being a Vol....

I don't think that's the case. Its been said that we'll take both Lanier and Moore so we would take his commitment if he wanted to.

Heard some chatter today he might have left Knoxville and went to Gainesville to visit. haven't confirmed

No worries! I've seen it rumored with humor before but this seemed different. Sky is not falling here. I'm desperate for good news. It seems as if its been two years between commitments this year. I can't get a feel for who we will have when the "chips" are counted.
