'11 MS JUCO DB Izauea Lanier (Tennessee Commit)

Dooley needs to start hedging on some of Florida's high school defensive backs and tell them that UF has great talent but can not develop it. They are in the same position that we were in the last 5 years of the Fulmer era. That would also make UF spend time defending their own back yard and leave our recruits alone. IT is obvious that they only want to disrupt our staff. It is time that we help FSU disrupt theirs.

Simply put, it just makes logical sense. We need an immediate contributor at corner, and Izzy is just the guy to do it. He will get immediate playing time if he comes here because he has experience.

i just don't see where we absolutly need an immediate contributer at corner. we are going to have everyone back in a secondary that came on strong at the end of the year. i don't think either of these junco guys have to make an immediate impact but it would be a luxery if they did

I tend to agree. Something that will help our DBs the most is a good pass rush.

That approach will only work in the favor of UF....the one position that Meyer/staff has been able to develop is DB...Major Wright, Haden Jenkins, Black over the last four season.

Lets not pretend like the last 4 wins were vs Passing Giants tho.

Teaque & Gordon are still very Raw & inexperienced and have a Long way to go.

Waggner was better at CB than he was Safety

we benefitted from not playing any teams who could execute prolificly in the passing game. Kentucky was the closest thing to that. but vandy, Memphis, & Ole Miss couldnt throw the ball at all

Hopefully Naz is ready to roll in the spring so he can get much needed reps

One bad season and they suddenly can't develop talent? I fail to see that as a solid argument.

Not to mention their secondary is one of their bright spots on their team.

I agree. Their defense will be very very good next year. Their offense may suck(cause of a suck ass oc), but Florida has a lot of talent on defense.

One problem with Lanier -- he may be a no show this weekend. What's up with that??

Hubbs said tonight (around 8:30) that he has not been able to confirm that Lanier is here. Surprising news, if true.

I hope he just slid in under the radar or comes in late, but if that is not the case, so much for Lanier being a Vol lock. We might still get him, but it might not be as easy as hoped.

+1

Seems alot of people keep saying their program is in turmoil, or Meyer's is running into the ground. I don't think 1 bad year will take UF down.

Who is the guy in bottom right? I see Posey, Downs, Moore, Jackson, Devrin, Mack, and Christian.

Nevermind. Someone already took care of it in another thread. Its Gionni Paul. Looks like Lanier did not make it in.

Love the Randy Quaid "Christmas Vacation, hat that Posey is sporting.
