'11 MS JUCO DB Izauea Lanier (Tennessee Commit)

And that's what I'm saying I see Neal as running back with Poole first year... Bellamy/bigelow return man and then second year either one splitting carries with Neal or maybe taking over backfield

Bigelow probably will not even be ready by next year, DY is here to stay. We are going to run out of spots though too much talent not to. There will be at least one nonqualifier and it isn't a lock that Loften gets in at this point.

This really sucks too. You can tell he really wants to play at UT. Maybe he can squeeze in.

Loften is supposed to be a beast...but it might work out better if he doesn't end up here. We still have Martin and Randolph coming in, and Loften's spot would be put to great use if he couldn't fill it.

I never said we don't need him, jesus people! What I intended to mean was that with the remaining spots as tight as they are going to be...it wouldn't be a bad thing to have one extra. Obviously I want Loften here...

Expected some news to come out of this weekend concerning Lanier but haven't seen anything? Anybody heard/know anything?

anyone seen much film on this guy? Wondering how he stacks up in comparison with Coleman...would be very nice to add a guy that could compete for a starting spot at CB next year, we sure need the help in that area.

Also, we play so many corners with this system Wilcox uses, we will basically need 5 guys that can play at a high level. Waggner, Gordon, Teague, Evans, Oliver and then throw in Coleman and Lanier...we are on our way.

I saw on ESPN that him and Auburn have officially parted ways and from what I hear UT is the place for him, unless they do not want him.

Auburn, defensive back recruit Izauea Lanier to part ways
East Mississippi Community College, Miss., safety Izauea Lanier is no longer part part of Auburn's Class of 2011 by mutual

Izauea Lanier 2011 Football Recruiting News - ESPN

I'm pretty sure we want him.

With Auburn being currently short on commitments, I wonder why they decided to part ways. He seems like a good prospect.

Could you imagine landing Lanier & Clinton-Dix :eek:hmy::eek:hmy:

Even though Clinton-Dix is a long shot.

CB - Lanier, Gordon, Coleman
CB - Jackson, Teague, Evans
FS - Clinton-Dix, Randolph
SS - Brewer, Waggner, Martin

:eek:hmy::eek:hmy:

I know I know I'm dreaming.

Apopka (Tom Smith) could possibly play Dr. Phillips (Clinton-Dix) team in a couple of weeks. Will be a great game to watch.:peace2:
