Not good enough for AU but good enough for UT?

I didn't say that necessarily. Just that they decided to go a different direction.

As mentioned earlier, Auburn does have alsmost as many problems in the secondary as we do, but they also have Jonathan Rose committed, Erique Florence basically committed, and I think they end up with Robensen Therezie.

I don't think it speaks to Lanier's ability.

Auburn is just as thin as we are in their defensive backfield...they need em just as bad as us.

Auburn......lmao, no recruit in their right mind would go there with the shytstorm that is about to erupt.

Lanier would be a good addition at an obvious position of desperate need.

And I agree on Auburn. This could get ugly for them. You'd almost rather the punishment and violations come out right now. The uncertainty could be devastating come signing day for their recruiting class.

I live in birmingham....talk radio has been rather humorous since they broke the news on Cam - let's just hope Kiffin's day on the hill doesn't get pulled as we've been mentioned as one of the "alledged" bidders for his services.

Back to the point of the OTP, I'm not quite sure why this kid isn't good enough for the boogs - their D is as bad as ours - only difference is they are all seniors.

So Tennessee was a "bidder" for him yet they barely recruited him and never offered him a scholarship. Makes perfect sense. Nice try. If anyone Auburn and Miss State are the two that need to worry since they are the two that offered him and accepted commitments from him.

Anyone we get from their class?

I know Uzomah visited at some point. I'd love to get Rose, but I don't know if he's even considered UT. They also have a DT we could target.

I really dont know. I kind of doubt Tennessee would be the destination for anyone Auburn currently has committed. You would think it would certainly help with a guy like Gabe Wright though.

arent we under investigation by the NCAA? what makes Tennessee the optimum landing ground for these Auburn recruits?

The football team is under a microscope right now??? I thought it was just basketball

Pretty sure the basketball violation was found during the investigation into Kiffin's tenure here. The scope of the investigation has shifted some in result. We have to play a waiting game for now.

Also, hopefully this will keep Allan Carson here and slow down any push that Auburn is making for him.

hostess gate has been resolved?

and isnt it likely that both Bball & football programs being under investigation could all fall under the same LOIC punishment. USC just got hit for university wide probation due to multiple sport programs violations

I have no idea if anything has been resolved, it's been forever and I haven't heard anything about it.

If something were to go down at AU I would think Jonathan Rose would be the most likely candidate to jump ship and head to UT. He had us his 2nd choice before deciding on Auburn

I dont think there is much to worry about for the football program. Maybe a loss of a few schollies at the max. Nothing like this potential Auburn situation.
