His interview really didn't review anything but I am wondering why we don't have a coach just drop in today. Seem like it made a good impression

Just checked out the SoCal boards and they believe Arnett is theirs. One poster said its been obvious since June or July???

Arnett is playing the game, he has told every sports writer from each school that he was going there. Hubbs believes he is a Vol & I was told by JB personally that he was a Vol. Yet the USC sources, MSU sources, UM sources all think he is theirs. The only person that really knows is Arnett.

Sounds like every team believes he is committing to them. We may be no different. I doubt it though. I think Hubbs and Bryant know something. I'll take my chances with them. VOL.

^ This. Otherwise, the credible sports writers would not be saying publicly they are confident he is coming to their school. Arnett has purposely mislead at least 3 schools if not 4 thus far and his recruitment won't be over until signing day, regardless who he announces for tomorrow.

Sorry I don't know much about recruiting, but I watched a video of this guy on youtube yesterday. Everybody is talking about how fast he is, but I didn't really notice his speed. He seemed more like a posession type of guy like GJ. Was it just the video that was slow? Either way, he looked really good, I'm just confused by the speed hype.

I think you're right. He is a posession receiver that catches just about everything thrown his way. He is a great route runner and has enough speed. Dallas is the speed guy.

Regardless of where DeAnthony Arnett commits tomorrow, his recruitment is still far from over. College coaches just don't stop recruiting a kid of his caliber just because he "verbally commits" to this school or that school. I hope UT can land him. I think he'll have an impact on our football team, but I caution myself to get too excited because NSD is still a good 3 months away. If he commits to Tennessee tomorrow, be prepared for Lane Kiffin and the "Goon Squad" to dial up the heat on him. Hell, not putting anything past them, they may drive to Knoxville to recruit the kid in Neyland Stadium. Bottom line is it is going to be a fight to the end for his services. And rightfully so. The kid is good. Real good.

I still think no one has a clue where this kid is going. It's obvious he has been feeding misinformation all over the place, that much is clear, so I'm not sure why anyone would feel confident outside of Arnett himself.

I'd would absolutely love to have Arnett but he isn't a make or break to our class. That said I don't see us getting a better WR than him if he takes his talents elsewhere.

Ok, maybe I had him confused with dallas. If there's one guy on our team we will miss the most next year I think its gerald jones. Darick might be the next coming, but man we can use as many guys like that who will come our way. Hunter and dallas spreading the field, darick and arnett underneath and bray/worley to spread it around. I'm a hopelessly optimistic vol but it sounds great to me. Reel him in coach.
