'11 MI WR DeAnthony Arnett - UT Commit

Per Bill Kurelic on ESPN

Arnett indicated he is currently considering five schools -- USC, Michigan, Michigan State, Cal and Tennessee. But conventional wisdom has him staying in-state or heading to Los Angeles to play for the Trojans.

There is a chance Arnett might select a college without taking any other official visits.

I honestly don't think it's going to be USC. They have 15 commits at this point and already have Victor Blackwell and are probably reeling in George Farmer (number 1 WR in the country, number 4 overall prospect). With Ambles, Prater, and Woods (who is probably the slot receiver for them going forward), I seriously have a hard time thinking Arnett wants to get into that cluster.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's a bad move for the kid. He would be better off at Michigan or Michigan State than USC. All that said, I hope he is a Vol come Wednesday.

#60 player in the nation and a perfect fit for us in the slot...we.need.him.

Does anyone know if he's trying to graduate early?

I've been saying all along, no one has any idea what this dude is doing except him. He has been sending out so many mixed signals and playing the game so much that I am sure every fanbase thinks he is coming there (and in fact, this is the case). Bottom line: no one knows.

Arnett is announcing his decision Wed. @ 9:00 AM from Saginaw High.
Coach Dantonio and Coach Treadwell visited with him today. They may know now what his decision is but of course under NCAA rules they are unable to disclose any information. A Lot of people are saying it's going to be Tenn.

He lives in Saginaw and there is a possibility that he chooses MSU. That is why SpartanMag is going to be there. What sense would it make for the magazine to go into Wednesday thinking "He's going to Tennessee, so we won't send our people there." They are going to get the quote IF he chooses MSU.
