George Farmer is getting a ton of hype for #1 WR spot next year. He's at the same school as a stud WR who's committed to USC right now as well

"Most definitely," Landry said. "I've had talks with coach (Derek) Dooley and coach (Terry) Joseph. They have told me they want me to come up for camp. I'm going to do that, and I might even take an official visit up there."

"I might not take an official to LSU," Landry said. "They are my home-state school so I know everything about them. I may take visits to five schools other than LSU."

Landry caught 62 passes for almost 1,200 yards last fall. His team went 13-0 before losing in the state semifinals. He does it all for Lutcher High School.

"I guess you can call me athlete," Landry said. "I play running back, wide receiver, linebacker, safety, return kicks and this year some quarterback. Most schools are recruiting me to play either running back or receiver. I don't care. I just want to play."

This is my first year to keep up with recruiting heavy, but Devrin Young is VERY impressive.

I've been following recruiting for the past couple of years, and I'm no expert, but Devrin definitely needs to be a Vol.

LSU pledge Jarvis Landry is looking at his options

ESPNU 150 Watch List wide receiver Jarvis Landry (Lutcher, La.) has softened up his commitment to LSU after telling ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com: "I opened up my recruiting and now I am just open to anybody."

The 5'11" 181-pounder is now considering Oklahoma, Florida State, Mississippi, Tulsa, Tennessee, Auburn and others.

The super productive Landry had almost 1,500 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns as a junior.

For some reason, its hard to get excited over WRs at this point.

Although we do have recent success with LSU de-commits at that position. :)

I feel the same way! Don't get me wrong I'd still take some 4* star WR's this class if they come calling, but I'd rather hit our needs heavy.

is there any way this kid isn't going to LSU in the end? let's just move on right now, its not like this is a need position anyway
