'11 LA RB Jeremy Hill

How is hurting at RB bad with "only" a 5 deep of (without Hill) Ford, Ware, Gore, Blue, and Hilliard?

First, slow down. Next, I have highlighted what you missed.

"we were hurting really bad"

- Gore might not be eligible, should know something soon and he is not an every down type back... punter returner-slash kind of guy.
- Blue is a project or possible a WR convert.
- Hillard is a possible FB or LB convert but will try and stay at RB.

You forgot Ridley who will be a senior(2011) and Magee which might be a RS candidate in 2011. I messed up Ridley was part of the 2007 class.

2007: 1 RB (Ridley, came off knee surgery in 2008)
2008: no RBs
2009: 1 RB (Ford RS)
2010: 3 RBs (Ware, Blue, Gore)
2011: 3 RBs (Hill, Hillard, Magee)

At the end of last year we were down to ONE true RB ie Ridley, if he got hurt it was going to be no real RB on the roster. Trust me all the LSU fans were talking about it. We will have between 6-8 RBs on the roster in 2011 including anyone that is RS for that year which is about what you need.

We will probably still need another RB even if Hill goes elsewhere.

we will give you Artaves and take Hill jmo.

:)

There are quite a few RBs left on the board. Would not be surprised if Hill ends up somewhere else.

Rodney Coe could be a nice out of state recruit for Tennessee as well.

As of now Hill isn't going anywhere, and Idk why some feel he is waivering. I will be working the LSU July camp in a few weeks and will get a feel for where he stands. The entire LA group is expected to be there as well as some of the nations top players. This camps expected participants could give USC's Rising stars camp a run for it's money this year.

Also LSU SIU after Ridley there was Holiday and Ford(Miles almost pulled his redshirt)

I apologize, I have to say this, but you may get the talent, but you sure as heck don't have a coach.

Not like UT has any problems with us on the field during the series history. LOL

as for the not having a coach comment, well you won't find many that disagree with that.

:hi:

I'm glad you can see the humor, and that I didn't mean any maliciousness in my comment.

LSU will be fighting for an SEC ship this year, if you don't get it IMO, CLM is goooooone.

The only thing about Holiday that was RB was the RB position in the yearly football guide. Basically, we were down to Ridley but yes Miles could have pulled Fords RS very very late in the year. The point being, 6-8 RBs is not a lot. If we lose 3 next year due to injury we will be in just as bad shape.

"I plan to take official visits to Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee and LSU," he said.

Tennessee: "They were the first school to offer me a scholarship. Now all of those coaches are spread out. They have a new coaching staff. I have been talking to coach Joseph and Dooley. I would like to build a good relationship with those guys. I would like to see what they have up there. They just came off a good overtime win."

I doubt there is much of a chance, but the way LSU lands elite RB's, many times mutliple ones in a single recruiting class would make me think twice if I'm a RB prospect.

If this guy wants to play at LSU, he is going to not only have to beat out Kenny Hillard in the same recruiting class, but also guys like Spencer Ware and Jakhari Gore who were elite RB prospects last year and are just freshman.

"Shane Youngblood
RB Jeremy Hill decommits from LSU today - fresh off an official visit from UA. Watch out for the Tide here...."
