'11 LA DT Mickey Johnson

Nothing has really "changed" he's still talking mostly about LSU, Nebraska, and UT. Alabama, Auburn, and UCLA kind of 2nd set of teams he talks about.

Right now I think our season tanking is going to hurt us with him. Even though we can offer PT, he wants a winning program.

IMO it'll be Nebraska or LSU.

Sigh you have said this in every thread it seems like. We can offer PT, getting coached by Chuck Smith, great tradition, great facilities, a great campus, a great stadium, and the fact that he can be apart of putting TN back on the map. It's not all about how a team plays, just ask Pat Martin.

It doesn't matter what YOU think is a great pitch.

We're talking about 17 year old kids. The same kids who think Oregon's uni's are cool and think that Boise State has strong winning tradition.

Mickey Johnson said he likes Nebraska so much because they're winning. It doesn't have to make sense to you.

I remember him in a quote that said that he wants to be a part of UT getting back on top.

He said he wants to win. He likes UT because of the immediate PT and the connection with coaching staff.

But if LSU really wants him they'll get him. And Nebraska is pitching Suh and the fact that they're back in the top 5 right now. He also likes Bama because they're winning right now.

The only losing programs he's really looking at are UT and UCLA.

Which happen to probably be his top 2.

if johnson comes to tennessee it will be a winning program, not saying vols win 10 to 12 games next year, but our oline is talented but very young and next year all starters on line will return plus redshirts and next seasons freshmen they should be a strong point for 3 or 4 years to come.and with some good dline men coming in and some good cornerbacks and safties ,i see geting back to oldform and time james, stone, scofield.goochc, and kyle kerbysonson.and clear or richards.and rhe de /deline should improve by playing

young players next year with
experierence mixing with talent.and wr a position with a great young talent comining Back plus incoming freshmen,so 2011 Will be betterand 2012 Twnnessee should have a high quality and a oline that should dominate.give time and the 2012 and 2013 football team and winsec and ncaa titals and in basketball should be great this
year and landing thomis along with a good big guy,and even with out landing a big guy in 2012 tennessee has vood shot at landing a beast in 6,8 250 pound four or five star, and a 6,5 240 sg

Wow... get here please!

Future of our D if we continue to lead.

NT- Hughes, Carson, Johnson,
DE- Wright, Walls
DE- Couch, Saulsberry
DE/LB- Smith and Miller

Exactly! Except, as has been mentioned a thousand times, our base defense will have four down linemen!

If we land Carson, Johnson, and Sylvester Williams to go along with Hughes... then there is no doubt we are going to the 3-4 as our base. They probably won't be going to it predominantly for next season, but it will be our base by 2012.

Recruiting doesn't lie.

Jordan Williams- Perfect Hybrid

Juda Parker was gotten because he was a perfect hybrid, probably not going to be here now.

The JUCO DE we are looking at Perfect Hybrid.

Couch, Wright, and Saulsberry- Perfects DEs in a 3-4.
Carson, Williams, Johnson- Perfect NTs for a 3-4.

We are looking for bigger LBs- perfect for 3-4.

It's not all a coincidence.

I believe Anthony is related to Frank Wilson. Losing Gran and Wilson was a big deal. It was forgotten quickly after the entire staff left. I think Gran might still be here if he knew who was leaving.

No, recruiting is ambiguous and uncertain.

History doesn't lie. Every year Wilcox was at Boise St. he ran a multiple defense with either a 4-3 or 4-2 base.

Not saying we won't line up in a 3-4 at times, but there's been no indication we are switcing to a base 3-4.

Yeah I have a feeling Gran would have stayed. Do you think Coach Reaves would have if he known Kiffin was going to give him the shaf?
